Re: CONFIRMED: Leam Richardson

Quite surprised. Horrendous at Rotherham and correct me if im wrong but didn't he have an overpowered squad to work with to get Wigan out of League One? Weird given the other possible names. I'm sure Couhig et al see something in him I don't, and obviously know infinitely more than I do about him, s...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

So refreshing to have manager already lined up and to be installed soon it looks like. None of this take far to long sack when it's been needed for months, followed by months of deciding whether or not to even start looking for a replacement etc Sad to see Hunty sacked, decent chap who did well unde...

Re: A few T-shirt ideas.

Good for you, I hope they are popular. £30 blimey. Inflation. Well you can buy from a noob account alleged Reading fan/ bot selling in dollars. Or can make your own design for far cheaper from one of the many "make your own tshirt" companies online. Either way not sure what this has to do...

Re: The non snowball stat thread

If you multiply this year (2025) by when we were founded (1871) and then square root the result you interestingly get 1946* , which just so happens to be the year of our biggest ever league win (10-2 against Crystal Palace). *Approximately Yes true, 1946.478 or so. But close enough to be undoubtedl...

Absolutely brilliant away point. Great subs. Great comeback. Great Marriott.

Strength to strength.

Kebe.

Not a striker and didn't score 20+ but it's Kebe: he doesn't need stats to qualify for lists.

I'd take Warnock or Ainsworth any day. But hopefully we won't need to. Hunt deserves his chance.

Re: Hunt in

What's that.. a string of defeats turning into draw, draw, win, narrow away defeat against top side, win... Trend looking pretty good. Just goes to show how premature calls for his head have been. I foresee people jumping a ship they should never have been on. Still too early either way, we wish him...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (h)

I've knocked Burns a lot but he was absolutely class at times today.

Marriott knows where the goal is.

We fought for every ball.

Effective subs.

Hunty doing alright in last few games, may the trend continue.

Re: Burns injury

Agree with the sentiment of your post Ian. Of course injuries very sad and we wish him the best, but to me despite a lot of good play he's also been quite a liability too. Even against Barnsley just before they scored their firs (I think) his non clearance straight to their player on the edge of our...

Re: Rumour - Gareth Ainsworth

I heard we have lined up the following:

Glenn Hoddle (alongside Chris Waddle)

and if that fails we're going for Mark McGhee

You read it here first.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Away, against a team at the top, after no defeats in 3. Exactly. Anyone can see we came into this season without a full squad, loss of key players, and would be struggling. Still don’t have full squad we want. Yet despite this the trend of our performances and results has been positive. Before this...

morganb I wonder if there are similar conversations going on on the forums of Burton, Blackpool and Peterborough (the three teams below us)

Beds will be wet undoubtedly. But decent effort away against top team while trying to piece together and gel our own. We’ve lost again.
