Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

U 21’s live on AFCB you tube channel. Now watching stream- i cannot find the team anywhere, so listing names randomly i hear on comms. Stream is rubbish !! H-T 0-0 Rhone Howard Someone on YT says it's: Rhone, Irish, Sackey, Cliff, Osho, Hicks, Howard, Garcia, Jones, Smith and Patton which looks rig...

Re: Haydon Robert’s - Confimred

Both signings from yesterday come from Richardson and Beattie’s agent who was also involved with Garry Monk’s controversial transfer dealings. No reason to suspect foul play here but hopefully someone at the club is monitoring it this time around… Is Roberts actually still with them? Transfermarkt ...

Re: a RB and a LB signings imminent

Is Abrefa injured? Yiadom starting, Ahmed on the bench, this guy coming in. If he's not injured, would suggest he's not rated and his career with us is coming to an end. LB definitely bigger priority. Abrefa played 90 minutes in the U21 game on Monday night, so if he has been injured he's on his wa...

Re: Expecting two to be announced today/very soon

This is exactly what we've been crying out for. An experienced big man upfront who also gets goals, and bonus points for having played under LR. Great signing. He might be tall, but I'm not sure he's a stereotypical 'big man'. Last couple of seasons he's only been winning 25% of headers. Even when ...

Re: Ex Players

James Henry having a ball at Aldersh0t, 5 goals in 6 games thus far. Got nothing out of the Dale who had Ryan East in centre mid. Josh Barrett came on for Aldershit in last 20. Showed that potential, but was blowing after 2 minutes, looked like a pub footballer and moved at that pace. Shame, as the...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Another 4 figure crowd is good news…obviously we’ll get more for the Chelseas, Arsenals, United etc…but the numbers are steadily trending upwards for the ‘less popular’ teams. Would be nice if there was any cross-promotion between teams at all. Doesn't feel like the club is a cohesive unit, still v...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

We have a good squad, but we really miss Rose going forward. Her pace and trickery have been sorely lacking this season. That and the fact we’ve shipped goals for fun at times has made it tough going. Last few games the defence has looked much better. Mayi Kith has looked rock solid in defence in l...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

I feel like I come away from WSL matches thinking that we never quite live up to how we could play, but we're at the point in the season where as long as we keep picking up points I won't mind too much! Re: Points Deduction AGAIN

The "problem" with a six-point deduction this season is it will be water off a duck's back. It's very, VERY unlikely to take us down So, IF we are penalised this season, I think it will be 12+ If it's just 6 points, I think it would be applied next year. There are rules around when a puni...

Re: Points Deduction AGAIN

12 point deduction would be very harsh. What we've done is nowhere near as bad as Derby who lost 21 points. We'll have lost 18 in 2 seasons. It'll be 6 points. The "problem" with a six-point deduction this season is it will be water off a duck's back. It's very, VERY unlikely to take us d...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

It shouldn't, because FFP doesn't include the women's team, but they do seem to be using it as an excuse to underfund the women - Dai Yongge could make us into a superpower if he really wanted to

Cheers for that you were a great help as always. So have you read it ? It might avoid you asking questions or making assumptions that are really easy for you to check yourself . No because, believe it or not, I'm not spending my time dissecting the EFL business plan each time I comment, I'd be hopi...

Re: Points Deduction AGAIN

https://twitter.com/TimDellor/status/1631309501457395715 It’s a bit like a court handing down a year suspended sentence to a crook, and then calling the crook back into court six months later and even though they haven’t put a foot wrong sending them to prison for the original offence! I don't like...
