Re: Blackpool (A)

In for this, although I doubt many others will be - 12:30 kick-off; in Blackpool; on TV. Not been myself since they've completed their stadium redevelopment. Went up there when the stand behind the goal was a mound of rubble and the stand we'll be in was a temporary stand. The stand is behind the g...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (h)

I left at 90min when the ridiculous 7mins were added, I expected 3 or 4, To let in 1 goal to a team that had really had zero chances in 90mins is shambolic, to let it 2 is a disaster, We played ok in the first half and were well worth the lead. The usual half time team talk turn us into shit and we ...

Re: CONFIRMED: Leam Richardson

Snowflake Royal
PieEater Is his name pronounced Leam as in team, or Le-am as in Liam.

If it's the latter I'm with Winston and hate him already.

It's an alternate spelling of Liam.

I hate it.

I expect he has to tell everyone who sees his spelling how to pronounce it, "it's Le-am not Leam".

Re: Hunts gone

It must be a tough call if you're the coach and get the manager gig knowing that you're probably moving from a safe job to one where you'll get sacked sooner or later.

Presumably these days managers come with a team so a coaches job isnt' really all that safe either.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Suprised there's no mention of Stevens, I think he's a poor keeper and can't wait to get Piera back. We'd of had a few more points if Piera had played the last few games.

Hunt hasn't had much luck with injuries, but I'm not sure what other choice he had with a backup keeper.

Poster in the gents toilets in the SJM Stand. "We are working to improve these facilities. Please be patient whilst we strive to improve your comfort break." Maybe they should consider similar outside the turnstiles: "We are working to improve this team. Please be patient whilst we s...

Re: Poll: Should Noel Hunt be sacked?

I was in the Hunt out camp but the last few games he seems to have the players on side, making more effort, so I'm back to wait a few more games.

I still think he's tactically poor, and nobody else would employ him as a manager.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a)

I feel we are due a win as Cardiff would have gone down when we get relegated except for our points deduction. We're due some karma.

Having said that I expect we'll get thrashed 3-0

If we don't sack Hunt then he definitely needs help.

Did anyone replace Gibbs?

Re: Club culture - are problems deeper than management?

We're a relatively big club in league 1 and for a lot of teams playing us we're a scalp they what to take and raise their game. Are we though? A third of the league are ex-PL clubs, and three of them were more recently in the PL than us. We don't have a history of winning much, we don't have a larg...

Re: Club culture - are problems deeper than management?

We're a relatively big club in league 1 and for a lot of teams playing us we're a scalp they what to take and raise their game. New players coming in feel the pressure working under premiership facilities and don't perform. We've only had relative success with academy players before the motivational...

Re: Fan demographics and commercial information

It's quite incredible that the club has never had a relationship with any of the local tech vendors located here.

Major HQs include:
@Oracle @Microsoft @Dell @PepsiCo @BayerPharma @Verizon

The closest we got was probably Waitrose in Bracknell.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

885 made the trip today. For such a good turn out there was pretty much no atmosphere until the goal. It's one ground I won't be going back to, Stockport seem to go out of their way to make the experience as dire as possible. How hard is it to have a price list outside the food kiosk? You to queue ...

Re: Cardiff City (A)

I have an overriding memory of losing 3-0 and trapsing back from the stadium to the station in the pouring rain with a hole in my trainers and completely sodden feet which seemed worse after the 3-0 thrashing.

Anyhow in for this and hopefully no rain.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (h)

Millsy I've knocked Burns a lot but he was absolutely class at times today.

Marriott knows where the goal is.

We fought for every ball.

Effective subs.

Hunty doing alright in last few games, may the trend continue.

+1 the subs changed it

After the second goal we defended well - Burns was my MOTM.

Snowflake Royal The children doing the announcements is one of the most painful things I've ever heard.

+1

Do the basics right, get an announcer you can hear and understand, oxf*rd off with the fireworks, and show replays of the goals.

I'm sorry but whoever that kid was - dont let them do it again.

It’s stronger than 5 points from 21, 1 win in 7 and 21st in the league. I don’t give a shit about the playoffs. I never thought we’d be close to em. But we are genuinely in a relegation battle with a top half team. That’s on the manager. It also doesn’t help that we’ve been dog shit in every game w...

How is one club going to buy up all the talent to keep players from other clubs AND comply with the FFP rules?
