Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Shame about the wobble in the middle of the second half, we just stopped playing football for some reason. Took some spirit to win a game after losing a 2-0 lead, though. Quality goals as well. But

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Such a good ball from Williams through to Kelvin - but hats off to the latter, quality control with his chest and such a skilful finish, hitting that ball on the bounce.

The quality is there. Just need to unlock it more often.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Better. Not particularly special, but better. Midfield seems to be a little more cohesive; we actually seem to have a bit of shape and control in the middle and Kyerewaa and R.Williams look decent on the wings. Someone said Doyle was crap but I think he’s been alright. Just need to keep the quality ...

Re: Richardson out

I don't think LR should be sacked, nor do I think he will be. But he has been extremely disappointing and lacking in any sort of redirection. I really don't see the point in someone new coming in and doing little different. Some people, probably smarter than I, have pointed out some subtle changes t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bradford City (a)

Was the Perfect opportunity to move Wing up into Doyle’s position, take Anyoneelseisabetterman off and bring Fraser on with Marriott. But no, Leam wants to maintain the “pass-the-ball-in-pointless-circles-until-we-lose-the-ball” formation and continue the obsession with rotating fullbacks.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bradford City (a)

Midfield was our biggest failure under Hunt this season, and Leam has made oxf*rd all effort changing it up. I’d like to see, though expect not to see, ….Marriott…… …….Wing………. Fraser…Savage Throw in any wingers we have really, though Danny K an obvious starter. Just please don’t play Wing deep anym...

Re: Time to defend Mark Bowen?

Did I dream the narrative that Bowen was gambling money to try and help fund the club?

I wish I had more exciting dreams about tits and dinosaurs.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (h)

Sounds like it was a good match to miss. In the cold light of day how bad was it actually? I think what is most disappointing is that LR has come in and failed to fix or even address the problems in midfield. It needs a complete overhaul, not LR whispering in Lewis Wing’s ear “get forward a bit”. I...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (h)

Has anyone else noticed that in the post match interviews Leam starts every answer with “Absolutely”.

It’s nearly as annoying as his football.

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Elliott was a bit poo, then had some good games, then got injured, then in absence elevated in people’s minds to masterful creator of goals. Handy player, made of tissue paper, who I don’t think is the answer to any question beyond “which player wouldn’t you risk playing in a drizzle”.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

This just isn’t close to being true imo I appreciate we all see different things when we watch a game, and sometimes because we are aware of something we tend to look for it more, but I keep seeing it. He’s just rooted to the ground. He won’t even stretch out a leg for it. It stands out for me, bec...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

For my part, what makes me call him “low effort” is that he never seems to chase the ball and more often than not you will see the ball drift past him without so much as a flinch towards it. . Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

Seems a bit much to suggest criticism of Kelvin is racially motivated. I appreciate the world needs to be on ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

A good performance; we didn’t seem to have a lot of the ball but when we got it, we used it better than we have been doing. Nice to see some width and people getting forward, as well as some understanding developing in little partnerships all over the pitch. The players who we needed to see improved...

My god the new commentary team on Royals TV is oxf*rd dump. Bring back Dellor, these guys sound like they have both suffered serious head injuries.

Re: What to do with the troublesome AM role?

With an AM you want a creative player, who understands space, with a good pass and a decent record for scoring goals outside of the box. I’m not sure why we wouldn’t put Wing in there. I get that the old/current idea is to have Wing deep so he can “quarterback” long passes into the final third, but...
