Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

Obviously, I am right and the club website is wrong (as are places like Transfermarkt and Flashscore).

As proof he played for the Under-18s less than 2 years ago, so cannot be 22 now.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

Good result. Agree Patton needs to go out on loan, unless there's some chance he could be involved in the first team at some point (which seems unlikely at this stage). Worth noting most of the side that started are still teenagers - think only Stickland (22) and Spencer (22) aren't. Spencer is 20.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h)

Barnsley`s first goal looked offside. I came on here to post the same, and was surprised it hadn't been mentioned. The linesman was a bit behind play, probably because Barnsley got the ball forward very quickly in that move. Also it was close, so an understandable error on his part. At the time, an...

Referee Jacob Miles Previously 26 Aug 25 > Reading 1-2 Wimbledon I don't think that's right. Miles refereed our 2-1 victory over Wimbledon in the League Cup (which was on that date). The 2-1 defeat in the League was 10 days earlier, partially due to the incompetence of referee Jamie O'Connor. I not...

Re: Rumour: Hugh Parker

So signed from UCD in the LoI in Feb - where he appeared 34 times (9 starts) scoring 2 and assisting 3 times. At Hull - 5 games in the Prem Cup (according to Transfermarkt) with 3 goals and 2 assists. And that's it. Could be a genius move, could be pointless. Hull play in the Professional Developme...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

The U16s played away to West Brom as well, and beat them 3-1. Another great result from the U16s. Anyone we might see in the older age groups before long? In the FA Youth Cup, we saw at least 3 of the U16s - the Ntege twins and Adjei. I thought Adjei was a massive improvement over St Louis at right...

U17 Premier League Cup Reading beat Swansea 2-1 last week. As expected, we finish second in the group to West Brom. Since my last post, I have found out that only the group winners go forward, so that's it for this season. U16 Premier League Tournament Reading definitely have qualified for the Natio...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

Some recent information from younger age groups: U17 Premier League Cup Reading results so far - lost 4-6 at home to West Brom, beat Wolves 3-1 away. Next game is at home to Swansea on Wednesday. If we win or draw against Swansea, our almost certain finish is second in the group, but I don't know if...

10 a side- 1 sent off from each. Ryan for Reading- off the ball incident in 65 mins. 1-1 75 mins Does the Ryan sending off and suspension affect first games? Having just read the rules, my best interpretation is that any suspension applies only to Premier League 2 and Premier League Cup. Ryan could...
