Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

If the problem with playing Wing further up is he gets marked out of the game, can't we just start him further forward and if he gets marked out of the game, he can drop back into that quarterback role and have someone like Savage or Fraser push further forward?

Re: MATCHWATCH : AFC Wimbledon (h)

Would be nice to keep progressing in these winnable games to have more opportunities to keep the squad rotation going and keep everyone fresh.

So, no idea what team either side will put out.

Re: BFTG Wycombe

I'm going off second hand accounts and am not BFTG, but it sounds encouraging. Elliott finally started and had a good game, so hopefully keeps the shirt. MOM didn't score but looked like a L1 player as opposed to a competition winner. Patterns of play starting to form. Late equaliser of course v v ...

Re: BFTG Wycombe

Should have got 3pts here and 0 at Bolton, so I guess we're a point down based on deserved outcomes?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

Only ones to start every league game so far this season are Pereira, Burns, Wing and Savage I believe. Savage is the only one I would call droppable of those.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a)

Feeling weirdly confident for this one, while the first 70-75mins against Bolton were pretty terrible, we defended well and might have found a good defensive 4. Then that late rush that got the equaliser hopefully opened Hunt's eyes in regards to who should be starting and how we should play. So I l...

Re: Hunt out.

My opinion of Hunt definitely shifted downwards after last night's game, even though we managed to snatch a point, still think he should be given at leat ~10 games.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

HAHAHA That's what Bolton get for taking their foot off the gas, we've been shite for 75 minutes but scored when we were on the up.

So nothing has changed this half, what does Hunt even do?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

What an utterly attrocious half of football, if Bolton could shoot the game would already be over.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

Part of me wants us to lose 5-2 again just because of how ridiculous it would be to lose 5-2 away to Bolton 3 seasons in a row.

Re: Hunt out.

Definitely cooled down since yesterday but I'm sure this isn't the start anyone expected, even if they factored in that we might not hit the ground running.

Re: Hunt out.

Tactically inept, confusing line-ups, learnt fack all since last season, and showing no signs of changing. For a former striker I find it bizarre that he sets him teams out to be negative. I'd also give him 2 more games before we pull the plug! Otherwise we're wasting another season in this dump of...

Re: Hunt out.

Yeah, not feeling Hunt as manager, think he skated by with the siege mentality of last season and is getting exposed right now.

Re: Team for AFC Wimbledon

Definitely need to be careful about making changes based on a game where both teams made 9/10 changes.

Re: Reading FC Womens World

The manager has been talking about aiming for promotion, which is a huge departure from being smashed every week last season. Is anyone more in tune with the women's team to say whether this is a reasonable aim or not?

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Couhig and his team definitely talk a good game and it is a good sign he is able to attract new investment with deeper pockets but I still see Couhig as a man very much in the SJM mould who will run a steady ship so we know any investment should be sensible. This is something Dai would have never be...

Re: Rival Watch

Oxford's new stadium has moved a step closer, with the local planners approving the plans. It now goes in front of the District Council Planning Meeting on August 14th for final approval. At the risk of praising our rival, good for them, we haven't had a proper rivalry in decades and it seems that ...
