Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

I would have thought playing it on the ground would be better than aimless long balls down the flanks or up to a small striker being marked by 2 6 ft+ defenders. I don't think that's all Wing has got in his locker. Get him up the pitch to do some damage. For all the quality Wing has, think there’s ...

Re: Hunt out.

Kelvin did very little on Saturday and was disappointing in the cup last Tuesday - just don’t see a consistent player in there worth persevering with Know he split opinion a fair amount but would quite like to have seen Campbell back in the summer - doing OK at Stevenage and thought he was our most...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

Not been impressed by Kyreewa (probably spelled that wrong) and the sooner we have Paudie and Williams back, the better. Think it's time to drop Ahmed too. Whilst I dislike the stockpiling of average loan players - there’s also an element where we’re rushed into judging players based off of a cup g...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

Mansfield had some decent chances beyond their goal and the goal ruled offside looked very tight - albeit I was down the other end of the stadium. We weren’t great today, so many individual errors, but I wonder how much the very strong wind impacted us. We seemed to be playing more passes on the gr...

Re: Hunt out.

Prob a bit controversial but I do think reliance on Marriott is part of the issue. His all round play is of the level you need the other forwards to be very good - which they aren’t He’ll certainly score a few goals but that will come to an end at some point based on his career so far Of course pla...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

JP Abrefa Dorsett Burns Jacob Wing Savage Ritchie Doyle Lane Marriott Stevens, Ehibhatiomhan, Elliott, Stickland, MoM, Fraser, Kyeweera Assuming Camara is injured. Would not be upset to see any of the better performers from Tues on the bench though - Spencer, Ryan, Rushesha… Similar, but I'd go Kye...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

Thought Big Kelv was dangerous first half. Made a few chances, kept his defender on his toes, worked well with Garcia. Agreed somewhat I think he’s someone that leaves you wanting more as the raw ability is there but the application…not often. Started on fire under Selles but his goal return has be...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

Story of our season so far in that we played well in patches but poorly in other patches. Unlike Saturday, we didn’t capitalise through our dominant period and their quality eventually shone through Fair amount of criticism for MOM about but thought he did OK. Admittedly a fairly low barometer but t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (h)

Will be a difficult one. Wellens went man to man on Wing on both occasions last season and we had little idea on breaking them down. As a result would look to bring in Fraser and push Wing further forward. Questions will need to be asked of Hunt if he keeps Wing in the usual spot and he’s marked out...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

Some tough competition now - especially in the wide areas, interested to see who misses out Would probably go with: Pereira Ahmed Burns Williams Jacob Wing Elliott Savage Lane O’Mahony Kyerewaa Stevens, Abrefa, Dorsett, Fraser, Doyle, Ritchie, Marriott Harsh on Camara who has 2 in 2 as well as a dec...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

Done OK to restrict a decent side to zero shots on target so far Disappointing offensively of course but let’s not forget this is still a side who have been playing together for no more than two weeks. Difficult to build patterns of play, relationships etc at this stage without a pre season Would l...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a)

My eyesight isn’t the best but I think it was Dorsett (and Rushesha) who were warming up with the squad before kick off yesterday - presumably as back ups should someone get injured in the warm up. So I assume Dorsett was fit but left out of Wimbledon It’s a tough call this, last thing we want to d...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

Not been mentioned much but thought Camara had another decent showing. Instrumental in our press from the front, kept the ball ticking along nicely and linked up well with Ahmed He’s an easy scapegoat as for an attacking player, he isn’t flashy in the slightest but think some of the criticism he ge...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

“Abrefa outstanding” Lololol. The whole team were hopeless against Pompey, including Abrefa. Also looked on the Huddersfield forum and a Lincoln poster also suggested both fullbacks were dogsh#t and that Huddersfield’s wingers would have a great time against them. I don't care what some random Linc...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Well I hope you’re wrong and kelvin is not in the first team as he’s done absolutely nothing to warrant having a first team place imo. But as you say we shall see. And football is about differing opinions. it’s nice that Noel has options to choose from. Same is true of Elliott though surely? Lots o...

Re: Weekend Football

Perfect example of where leaving the flag down when someone is offside risks someone getting injured  This. Wasn’t even close, you could even see with Elanga’s body language that he knew he was offside as the pass was too delayed Coupled with an odd decision to make their final sub window jus...

Mings up to his tricks again I see. The fcuking animal. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cp3n97ll0ygo He’ll get away with it. Cnuts like him always do.
