Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (h)

If Marriott is fit then unless there are further injuries, can’t see MoM getting another minute

Re: Realistic January CF targets

Guess the first place to look would be someone who LR has managed before and done a good job. Though I suspect he has a pretty long list of potential targets Kelvin has actually done pretty well there imo but can’t see him being robust enough to last the season doing it on his own Agree the profile ...

Re: Realistic January CF targets

Good question

Hardie is probably available and a good player but despite being 6ft2 apparently doesn’t sound much like a target man. More about pace - no bad thing and I’d be happy enough if he came but not quite the sort of player I’d expect

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Yes easy to forget he exists

Not just the injuries but how long he seems to take to come back from them and the timing of them. That one last year could well have cost us a play off place

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

WestYorksRoyal He scores the occasional great goal but not the routine ones you need your striker to put away.

I think those chances mentioned, had he scored you’d say they were all really good proper striker goals. But he missed the bloody lot of them. Lucky two ended in a goal anyway

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

I appreciate we all see different things when we watch a game, and sometimes because we are aware of something we tend to look for it more, but I keep seeing it. He’s just rooted to the ground. He won’t even stretch out a leg for it. It stands out for me, because I have never by seen a player behav...

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

Will be interesting to see who makes it back in time for Christmas when the games come thick. 10 day break between Blackpool and Peterborough, but after that: 3 days for Bradford 5 days for Luton 6 days for Plymouth 3 days for Peterborough (again) 3 days for Burton 3 days for Stockport Followed qui...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

For my part, what makes me call him “low effort” is that he never seems to chase the ball and more often than not you will see the ball drift past him without so much as a flinch towards it. . This just isn’t close to being true imo I appreciate we all see different things when we watch a game, and...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

He is also relatively new to the role and still learning. Probably getting physically stronger as well. He’s still pretty young and played the majority of games on the wing. Considering he’s played just about 90 mins in every game for LR so far, except for the cup game which looked won at 2-0, I sus...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

I think Kelvin is probably just too nice a person to play the target man, you have to a bit of git and get in the centre half's face and scrap. That's not his game, or apparently winning headers. He doesn't try for 50/50s and backs out of challenges, he's just way too polite. He's best with the bal...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

Thought I'd have a quick look on here to enjoy all of the praise for Kyerewaa for his outstanding performance and attitude. It's a bit muted. Perhaps humble pie isn't to everyone's taste. Weird attitude He was playing shite - but it was clear he could play a bit He now has a couple of good games an...

I do find it strange that people claim Kelvin is low effort

He has his faults - wouldn’t say that was one of them.

From Despair To Where? Is Randall Williams showing enough to have his contract extended?

Yeah just about I’d say

And Abrefa/Dorsett is the obvious answer to the first q, with Yiadom coming on at some point

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

Think DK could turn out to be an inspired signing. He was raw at the start of the season but the improvement in recent weeks has been great to see. Sadly many of our other summer signings have been disappointing so far in comparison. Several of our signings have been decent: O'Connor, Williams and ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

More than done the job. Defence solid, midfield combative, front 4 working hard and making and scoring chances Dk looks proper dangerous and taking players on. He looks a different player to what he was at the end under Hunt. We need a proper target man in January if we want to play as long ball as ...
