Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Luton fan berating their players. Another fan tells him to shut up, scuffle ensues. Looks like Mr Grump takes one to the face. The Football League and police are now reviewing the incident and action may be taken as a result  Even more  Leam compared Derrick Williams to Bruno Fernandes af...

Re: Reading hit with winding-up petition by former chief executive

I guess the question is which company hired him to make the sale? Obviously it was Dai and Pang's decision, but if the contract was with RFC then surely we have to pay him? Whereas if it's a Dai HoldCo, good luck  Also, Couhig would presumably have an argument that Howe didn't actually facilit...

Re: Rival Watch

With a table like this, it's another reminder that it's nonsense to have 4 relegation spots. I assume it dates back to regionalisation, with 2 into the northern league and 2 southern. But it's been national for ages and should be 3. It looks like a relatively good team could finish 21st on 55 point...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Tbh I’ve no real issue with hoofball. Quite often more exciting and dynamic than the overdone play out from the back etc Obvs it has its limitations but I’d rather go forward directly and quickly (albeit with the correct profile of player) than continuously passing it backwards. Man City were one o...

windermereROYAL Let`s be real, this is some guy owed a few quid, not a large organisation that is owed several millions. a storm in a teacup. sod all to be concerned about.

I don’t think anyone thinks it puts the club at any risk.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Got to say Wing and Savage may as well fukk off Zero attacking intent, no desire to push forward and support breaks. Fukking bored of it Interesting this comment. Did not go but listened. Seems were drifiting towards kick and rush as a deliberate philosophy (Pub football on Viagra) - strong solid l...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Watching back, that D Williams assist was arguably the best bit of CF hold up play we’ve had all season. Brilliant stuff Yep, love him. Only watched the highlights, what was he doing up there? Think he stayed up from a set piece. He also did the best flick on of the season a couple of games ago, I ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

My main frustration is the inability to pass the ball forward when we have the ball in midfield, too often we check and pass backwards in those positions instead of driving/ moving the ball forwards. Dorsett being a prime example, always goes backwards as if he's been told not to cross the halfway ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Wish we could get a manager to build an attractive footballing outfit, instead we have someone wanting to play football from the dark ages. All we do is pass sideways, backwards and then hoof to one of the opposition defenders. There is the argument of course that managers see the players we have a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

The first half was pretty dreadful in retrospect. The pen was literally our only chance of any kind which was pretty shite We did at least create some opening second period. Flattered really by very good finishes from KE and Marriott Time to freshen up the midfield with Fraser I think. Savage and W...

Mid Sussex Royal So - 3 wins from 6 games.....same amount as Hunt achieved in 14 games.

Could have sworn Noel had 5 or 6 wins from his first 14 or so games in charge.

He didnt say Hunt's first 14

Uke This is the same Nige who was instrumental in selling the club to Zingarevich, the Thais and then Dai…

His track record speaks for itself

And who came in to 'save', the club by finding a new owner, when he was actually just lining his own pocket and did a shit job of it

Re: Reading hit with winding-up petition by former chief executive

It saddens me the grief Nigel gets, he was after all the key decision maker when getting us to the top flight twice - despite SJM signing the cheques. Couhig took exception to Nigel not wanting him to buy the club, Nigel’s rationale was that Couhig didn’t have the funds - and so far it seems like t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Hound Didn’t make it easy for ourselves at the end did we?

But positives to take, big 3 points and some great spirit shown

Actually entertaining second half as well

We've won the hardest of this little run of four. If we can get 5+ pts more from them, things look a lot lot better.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h)

Fragile, very fragile. But we got there.

Must learn to use the ball and control the game though. Not just pass nervously at the back or charge forward at full pace.

Snowflake Royal That is the worst dive I've ever seen from O'Mahoney then..

Thought he tripped himself up.

Looked to me like he decided to buy contact and go over like you see defenders do all the time, but he went far too early and just flopped with no contact.
