Re: Good uses and bad uses of Liam Fraser

The first choice midfield 3 has to be Wing, Elliott and Savage. I think Fraser will get a fair few starts though even with everyone fit, depending on how we want to play and who we are playing, but he needs to always be playing as a defensive midfielder surely. Further forward, Doyle can play as ei...

Re: Good uses and bad uses of Liam Fraser

Also those 3 strikers mentioned played with a strike partner as a front 2. Rightly or wrongly thats not how we, or virtually any other team, currently plays. Back to the original post. I've not seen anything so far that suggests Fraser is a nailed on number 6 and nothing else. He was better further...

Re: Club legend.

Just for putting weed killer on the pitch before the start of a season! Pretty sure that was someone else.....Fred Neate? Arrrggghh - it was Fred Neate! Ron was the kitman! Old age is a bastard!!! Gordon Neate. Weed fiasco aside, year after year the Elm Park pitch looked way better than the vast ma...

Re: Ex Royals

Smith on the bench today for Wrexham alongside new signing Broadhead and Hardie. Windass and Moore starting. He's arguably fighting for the role of 4th choice striker there now. Not in the "bring him back" squad yet. Obviously he'd walk into out XI, but WCBAP and he probably has ambitions...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

One thing I noticed which I haven’t seen mentioned was Elliot’s corners after Wing went off.

One fizzed into the near post in the first half which someone should definitely have got a touch on.

And I’m pretty sure it was his corner kick right on target for Burns who somehow missed it.

Snowflake Royal Is this not on RoyalsTV?

Not usually for the EFL cup games.

A little disingenuous of the club to send emails promoting passes implying it will get you video access to this game when it's only ever been audio in the past.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h)

Mid Sussex Royal IF you have good quality AM's you don't necessarily need a decent centre forward, look at what Pep did pre Haaland

Had to make do with Sergio Aguero. Don’t know how he managed to be honest ;-)

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

I know. He’ll never forgive me It's a bit hard to see how he even makes the matchday squad at this point. Yep. I know the Twitter crew love the dopamine hit of a new signing but realistically even now it’s going to be difficult to keep everyone happy. I don’t want the likes of Ahmed, Osho, Dorsett,...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Didn`t pull up any trees in the championship last season, here`s hoping L1 is his level. Given he got 12 goals and 7 assists in L1 the season before, at 22. It certainly is And at 24 still plenty of scope to improve. On paper seems like a very astute signing. I do think in general we need to put as...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

It's also not exactly new that players and agents will try to bargain for better deals by claiming better offers, or biding gheir time in case something else shows up. We should not allow ourselves to be bullied or blackmailed. If we do, every player and agent will continue to do it. If we don't, m...

Not sure of the accuracy of this.

No way Matt Carson played 172 games for us.

Good friends with Pereira too so hopefully this will also help with that negotiation.

Re: Low point of the Dai era

Thought we'd have this poll to remind ourselves how dire the past 8 years have been. Perhaps we can pin it so that if we moan about an uninspiring result against Doncaster, we can remind ourselves how much worse it could be. Struggling with specific moments from the earlier years; I toyed with Clem...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Theoretical... you're Rob Couhig and you successfully buy Reading FC. Reading miss the POs, Hull get relegated and sack Selles. Selles was in charge when you originally tried to buy the club... would you try to bring him back, stick with Hunt, try to bring in a statement quality manager, or go bats...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (h)

Is Akande injured?

He's raw and in any logical circumstance "not ready" but needs must. He does however possess explosive pace which could work from the bench especially on a day like today when we're creating nothing else.

Edit. Lol Hound.
