Re: Randell Williams and Andy Rinomhota

Yiadom has also covered at CB so, whilst I wouldn't pick him there in a CB pairing, he could maybe add a bit of pace at the back alongside Williams and O'Connor with Ritchie or Abrefa on the right.

Re: Randell Williams and Andy Rinomhota

I guess he must be fit and ready to go, otherwise a deal until January seems a bit pointless.

One of Richardson's favoured formations is apparently 3-5-2 so maybe a wing back? Yiadom started out as a winger so could do a similar job on the right.

Re: Randell Williams and Andy Rinomhota

About to sign Surprised Rino isn't attached to any club, did well last season for Cardiff. If fit would be a good addition. Cardiff's POTS last season. As you say, if he's fit and half as good as he was last time he was here, he'll be a fantastic addition. I know nothing about Williams other than h...

Re: Poll: Recruitment

I think we’ll see quite a lot of movement early in the transfer window anyway in both directions If Hunt is banging on about 3-4 more players needed which he wasn’t supported on I don’t think his helping himself mind you. The numbers were plenty sufficient just the profiles, performances and injuri...

Re: Poll: Recruitment

The Couhig-Dellor thing goes back to last year when Dellor was unquestioningly parroting everything Dai said in the press and effectively briefed against Couhig, particularly around the whole Bearwood thing. At the time, Couhig said "The truth will out eventually" and the truth has largely...

Re: Poll: Recruitment

I think Fraser, O'Connor, Ritchie and Lane will prove to be good signings and Marriott and Williams have proven to be good signings None of the loans have added anything although Burns has had flashes of adequacy. I'd send the lot back in January though if at all possible. DK is the sort or signing ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (h)

I think Richardson will have learnt a hell of a lot more from that collapse than he would have from an insipid 2-0 or 2-1 win. He clearly nailed a lot of our problems from 120 minutes of football.

I'll take that as a crumb of comfort rather than a positive.

Yeah, let's not look at goal difference though. I make it -18 and I've only got to 1899.

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

It's effectively a salary cap by the back door. I guess it works in American sports by there's greater parity between the size of the respective franchises (except maybe in MLS but clubs have allocated squad slots which can be paid outside the cap). I guess it could work and it shows that owners are...

Re: CONFIRMED: Leam Richardson

Criticising Beattie and Schofield for their management record when they've been hired as coaches is pretty special. Not all coaches make good managers. Not succeeding as a manager doesn't make you a bad coach. Some people are just determined to be negative. I don't particularly like playing the man...

Re: CONFIRMED: Leam Richardson

Quite surprised. Horrendous at Rotherham and correct me if im wrong but didn't he have an overpowered squad to work with to get Wigan out of League One? Weird given the other possible names. I'm sure Couhig et al see something in him I don't, and obviously know infinitely more than I do about him, ...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Despite pretty much unparalleled success,Rodgers was not universally liked by the fans.

Having said that, Dermot Desmond is a bit of a prick and I wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers flounced after a clash of egos. Again, not entirely uncharted territory for Rodgers

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

I do find myself warming to the idea of Richardson after hearing the context behind his record, very good League One season with Wigan before being sacked after a crap start to the season in the Champ and then took over a shite Rotherham team in the Champ and couldn't really do much to stop them be...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

WestYorksRoyal Anyone else want to admit they hadn't heard of this guy 24 hours ago? I certainly hadn't.

A bit quick to conclude he is Paul Ince mk.2

I was certainly aware of him but wasn't aware of the extent of his managerial/coaching CV.

Everybody is exploding about this news, Can`t say I`m over the moon, but let him prove us all wrong, this has got a Paul Ince appointment written all over it. Reading fan pundit Johnny Hunt says that too: https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/reading-warned-no-go-appointment-ex-wigan-athletic-boss-leam...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Really good insight there papes. Nice work mate  To be fair, there's a lot in there that's positive and if he's the man, suggests that some thought has gone into the appointment. I'd agree with all of this I just remember when Selles was appointed and the general consensus was that he was goi...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

I know the gap to Hearts is now 8 points but seems a bit early to throw in the towel by Rogers there. Dermot Desmond's statement from the club regarding his departure basically says "Fcuk off, you arrogant pcunt". Unfortunately, his conduct and communication in recent months have not refl...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

Long read on/from Leam Richardson. https://learning.coachesvoice.com/cv/leam-richardson-wigan-athletic/ WIll give it a bit before I comment fully, but do think it deserves a proper read. Tbf it’s a decent read and can see why we might be interested in him Really good insight there papes. Nice work ...
