Re: Hunt out.

Cant imagine the likes of a Warnock coming in unless he is grinding the organ I can. He's retired multiple times so a job where he can dabble and help out for a few months, rather than be the guy in the crosshairs with all the pressure and responsibility, would probably be a great way to stay invol...

Re: Fixtures 2025/26

Northampton Town (H) rescheduled for Tuesday, 21st October, 8pm KO. Sooner the club does away with these 8pm KO's the better, waste of time for a ground that won't have more than 7k in it. Is it a planning restriction on league games (noting that the Wimbledon league cup game was a 7pm KO)? If so, ...

Re: Josh bowler

This is just a massive well done all round to the club for attracting an exciting player and then when he made unreasonable demands telling him to do one and going elsewhere. If that is what happened. I believe Noel told a number of people, including some nobbers, at the Bearwood open day that a pl...

Snowflake Royal We didn't get a massive fee for Bindon

How much did we get? I heard 10 mill mentioned.

OMG 950000 Euros......I'm shocked.....I also heard 2mill which would be believable...but that is an insult.

He was out of contract this summer. It was £700k or sod all.

Re: Devante Cole

Yes but Plymouth has the National Marine Aquarium and also, um, that's it. But still, he could be a fish guy? Reading is crap if you like fish. Smelly alley is our only answer. I haven't lived in Reading since 1984 and you've just reminded me of such a great memory and smell that is Smelly Alley !!...

Also gives us the option to rotate, rather than knackering out our best players as we've had to to the last couple of seasons

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

So basically, our squad is instantly much stronger, because we aren't losing a player we thought we were losing. And goals are much less of a worry because the player that apparently isn't leaving was our topscorer last year. Boo hoo. Doom. Alternatively there is a long way to go in the transfer wi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

We are losing out on signings who would prefer Stevenage, Port Vale, and Burton Albion to us. I fear for us as I just cannot see where goals are going to come from and the current squad is painfully under-resourced. Would not be surprised if Lincoln score three or four. Such a huge leap there. In t...

Re: Devante Cole

200k transfer fee being reported. Clearly too rich for us  Nice to see we can't compete financially with a club whose statue our fanbase had to pay for... Were we 100% definitely even in for him? God knows, only ever seemed to be a twitter rumour and now they're all up in arms that we've 'mis...

Re: Liam Fraser

Nice. Does make me worry about Bowler though considering how quickly this one has gone through. Being optimistic, I would have thought that Fraser being on a free would mean it would be quicker to conclude. We also don't know how long it has been in the works; Bowler's name has been around for long...

They can- - the post was yesterday.

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Think Doyle would be an excellent signing. Was impressed by him against us last season, and would have that throwback 2010s vibe of signing players that play well against us!

Brum Royal John Swift still available on a free, and due to the play in the out of contracts match at Workington at the weekend. Surprised no club has come in for him yet

I'm sure some have, just not what he's after in terms of level/wage and he's holding out to see what else comes along.

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Melts on Twitter moaning about the likely 4- 5 years to establish ourselves in the Championship. What do they expect? SJM was all about strong foundations and building brick by brick. I'm more than happy to spend a few years in L1 if I'm position about the club's direction. It is also 'established'...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Not overly worried about Wareham, he showed flashes last season but in reality would likely just be a squad player in the long term. If Exeter see him as a starter (perhaps with wages to match/higher than what we were prepared to offer) then I can see why he'd have made that call. WiFI and Craig tho...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Preseason starts this week. Would be good to be able to at least be able to put out a contracted XI by Thursday. Club have just announced Clarke & Ryan re-signing which is a start. Imagine they'll be daily updates this week. Which Clarke would that be again? Presumably not Boyce-Clarke, did Jah...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Only real surprise there is Akande being released. But then again, played less and less as the season went on, maybe Hunt wasn't keen on him.

Holzman just didn't seem good enough, sadly.

Fingers crossed those offered contracts sign. See Yids has been offered one!
