Re: Squad for 2025-2026

I like Tiv and I think he's a good option to have around the squad as a versatile young player.

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

I have a feeling in the next week or two some of the OOC players might well sign up when they don't get the offers they may have been expecting.

Re: Ex Players

Marc McNulty's career flying high in the Scottish second division. Had never even heard of The Spartans FC https://www.spartansfc.com/2024/02/21/signing-news-marc-mcnulty-signs-for-spartans/ He’s now playing with St George City in Australia. Wonder if he would have been success had this club not be...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

I always wanted all the shirts when I was a kid, and often the shorts and socks too. I was lucky my parents usually complied, as I didn't ask for much else for birthdays and Christmases. Was still around £40 for the shirt 20 years ago, but actually talking to my old man recently he said he never min...

How is the Sun framing this story as an 'exclusive' when all they're doing is collating public social media posts and comments?

Re: Ex Royals

Was he definitely driving like an arsehole?

It was on a weekend when the weather was appalling and if no one was around, how can we be sure it wasn't just him not necessarily knowing how to drive a high-performance car and taking the wrong option when he lost control?

Re: Ex Royals

Greatwesternline
Weird how someone can crash a very fast car with no one else around in normal driving conditions on a straight road and we don't here a peep about a conviction for careless / reckless driving.

You should probably raise that with the Essex Constabulary if you're that worried about it mate.

Re: Confimred - Paudie O’Connor

If you have a current injury, that is taken into account when they do the medical, like buying a car when you know you need to replace a brake disc or fix the gearbox. Of course the injury he was nursing could have got significantly worse or Watford/whoever may see it as too high of a risk to offer ...

Re: Ex Royals

It's a big challenge, but presuming he gets a bit of financial backing and they're looking to build a project then it could propel him on to something even bigger. I don't get the impression Sheff U are particularly trigger happy when replacing managers so it could work out well for him. I certainly...

Re: Confimred - Paudie O’Connor

I'm very happy with this signing. As has been said, it's a good sensible signing at this level and let's hope as he enters his prime years he helps us to get up.

If he is a bit slow, maybe that means Mbengue has stayed on and we're going to announce that soon.

Re: Ex Royals

*GOOD NEWS ALERT* Michail Antonio back on the pitch already (85th minute sub for Jamaica last night). Fantastic news. I can remember quite clearly hearing about it, seeing the photos of his car and thinking he may well not survive. To see him back playing again is great and I hope West Ham give him...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

I wonder what's taking the likes of Abrefa, Dorsett and Ehibhatiomhan longer than Pereira. You won't get a better offer than Reading lads. My guess is that they're probably on holiday or just taking some time off, and their new contract would start in July anyway so there's no rush to sign just yet...

Re: Team photo

I am sure there was a team photo last season, and there must be one this time as well. I know Jason Dawson is the photographer and has been for some years. Looking at his Instagram page he also does the royal family quote a bit, as there's some photos of King Sausagefingers interacting awkwardly wi...

Re: Rumour: Jonathan Tomkinson

We could really do with a Morrison style signing at CB, but I guess they could as easy turn out to be a Dann. I think we'll primarily focus on youth, but an experienced CB to go with the likes of Yiadom and Wing would really be beneficial. This guy sounds readier than our academy options, but not m...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

If there really is a Huntley and Palmers connection to the shirt, I think there's an opportunity to do a special edition biscuit tie-in. I'd buy some.

Re: Ex Royals

I went to Marlow the other week to just fanny about for the day with my wife, and I was convinced I saw Nicky Shorey. So much so that we followed this guy quite a long way down the river to try and get a good look. It was not Nicky Shorey, it was a random man, is what I told the police officer.
