Re: Hunt out.

Yeah, discussed this with Hound a bit. To me Ritchie hasn't actually created a lot, and at 36 hasn't convinced me he has the legs to start. Yes, he's go two assists, but to me those were all about experience and touch, making the best of someone else's creativity, rather than him creating something...

Re: Hunt out.

Which is not a criticism of the substitutions. I did wonder that about Richie. Recently it has been: Reading concede an early goal, we chase the game/the opposition park the bus, bring Richie on, he assists Marriott, we get a draw Why can't we start with Richie then perhaps we'd be the ones scoring...

Re: Hunt out.

A lot of people wanted to switch from 4-3-3 and inverted wingers although DK/Marriot/Lane were just starting to combine better together and get the press right. Hunt then switched to 4-2-3-1 (presumably to shoehorn Doyle into the team), swapped Dk and Lane over and they've both been absolute shite ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

For all the quality Wing has, think there’s a reason he is where is is Not strong enough defensively (his “effort” for their goal on Saturday ) and looks lost higher up the pitch Technically he’s far good for this league but he’s a dilemma tactically Well then putting him as last midfielder at the ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

Mansfield had some decent chances beyond their goal and the goal ruled offside looked very tight - albeit I was down the other end of the stadium. We weren’t great today, so many individual errors, but I wonder how much the very strong wind impacted us. We seemed to be playing more passes on the gr...

Re: Hunt out.

Prob a bit controversial but I do think reliance on Marriott is part of the issue. His all round play is of the level you need the other forwards to be very good - which they aren’t He’ll certainly score a few goals but that will come to an end at some point based on his career so far Of course pla...

Re: Hunt out.

Two away games coming up, one of them Cardiff who are doing well Fair chance if we don’t win one we’ll be relegation zone again after 12 games Despite the backing would think Hunt would be under pressure again if this happens But no chance of relegation. You heard it here first. You making t...

Re: Hunt out.

10 games done. Very much the worst in the first 3. Still needs improvement. 5 games more, review again. We're better than we were under Selles at the start of our first season back in L1. String a couple of performances and results together and things take off, much like in that first season under ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

I think Lane has a spark but is played too high and central, and has no faith in the headless chicken that is Jacob running around behind him. Ahmed won’t take anyone on which is frustrating. Burns has his balls-up but was so busy distributing, he’a getting better. Savage had flashes of his old sel...

Re: Hunt out.

It does worry me that players who have proven in the past to be as good as Savage, Wing, Lane, Doyle have been so poor this year in their all round game. Savage should be bossing this league and looks an absolute shadow Under Selles, lots of players like Azeez and Mola improved a lot. We're not see...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Mansfield Town (h)

Dreadful stuff yet again.

Football devoid of any imagination or flair. Or sense of purpose. Whatever Hunt does before kick off or the second half he should stop. They look entirely demotivated.

Re: Hunt in

From last night's Q & A: Why is Noel Hunt in charge? Rob inherited Noel and looked at what he had done prior to arrival- 'an exemplary job.' He Met criteria upon arrival. He knew bulk of the squad needed replacing. Have refused compensation for Amadou Mbengue for lack of appropriate pay and it ...

leon just reinforces how many fans of other clubs are on here.

Being a fan and having a like or dislike for another team are two different things. you clearly like Liverpool, does that make you a fan?

:?: I can't stand Liverpool. Arsenal too.

Re: Weekend Football

Because you`re commenting on the added time without knowing about the long stoppage for the injury. No enough  for this comment. No, he's commenting on how Arsenal fans like to flood social media, whining like bitches whenever Liverpool score an injury time winner. I don't see them moaning ab...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

I think our goal on Saturday is one of my favourites in a while. Just a really quick, well worked move to manufacture a clear chance. The sort of goal you see on MOTD regularly and which a PL fan wouldn't bat an eyelid at, but which is rare at this level. Much more satisfying than a Wing screamer. ...
