Jerry St Clair
Rev Algenon Stickleback H
Jerry St Clair The one that always lives in my memory is the 2-0 win against Stockport in 1993.

Elm Park packed (the Southbank was full 15 mins before kick off which was pretty much unprecedented in my Reading-supporting career) with hundreds of Reading fans flooding into the Town End with the Stockport fans.

A great day. Can't really think of too many more Boxing Days that live long in the memory. Am I missing any?

great day. Wasn't on Boxing Day though.

I'm pretty sure it was....?

only if Boxing Day fell on Dec 28th that year.

RG30 Been to Gillingham on 2 New Years Day (2000 2-2) The 2000 was an entertaining match which IIRC we equalised in injury time thanks to a penalty converted by Martin Williams.
was there, sat in the Gills end with a Gills supporting relative............thinking to myself that Andy Gurney had a great game

Peter Taylor must've wondered when he would ever get any fans behind him............in fact, must've wondered when he would ever get a stand behind him :D

Remember getting beaten by Swansea City on Boxing day 1973 (methinks) 2-1.........a dire game played out on Boxing day...Charlie Hurley days IIRC

December 28th 1993 Mr Dignan, Sir. Call yourself a Reading fan when you can't remember the exact date of any given fixture in the club's history? Plastic 8) .

LOL. Stupid oxf*rd.

There were a couple of West Brom games IIRC, a draw and a win live on TV. Kevin Kilbane scored in front of the away end after we went 2-0 up in the first half.

Pool and Darts Wasn't the 2-1 win over West Brom a boxing day match on sky many years ago?

Or is it my jaded drunken winter festival day memory messing with me?

Na you was drunk... iirc last west brom boxing day clash was a stale 0-0... only remember this as it was on Sky, and i had to travel to inlaws - only reason i went was to watch the royals!

No he's correct, we did them 2-1 at Elm Park in the mid-nineties as detailed by myself above. All three goals in front of the town end IIRC, an o.g and Martin Williams with Kilbane pulling one back.

wolves last year was definitely a huge result. i listened to it on the radio but i was convinced that we were finally good enough to go up.

watford the year before made me think we were good enough to go up

wimbledon the previous year finally convinced me that we were not good enough to go up
