Anyway, I don't believe that this comes under the banner of conspiracy theory. It's just that in the last 12 months millions of pounds have come into the club from player sales and we've been buying players for £50K in return. JM's investment into the club over the years have turned out to have been "loans". Let's just see what happens to that income. We wouldn't be the first club to have been fleeced.

I don't like the phrases, but we have been sorely tested this week. You can't deny that you know exactly what is meant whenever anybody refers to the Mong Board.

In the last fifteen months we have bought Mills and MacAnuff. Last year there was time to spend a bit of the incoming transfer money. This year there was not. If we had bought a £2 million striker on Monday it would have been on somebody risky. As it was we fixed our worrying lack of defensive cover, and can now at least put out a balanced subs bench.
