Wasn't the equally ignorant Oliver Holt Sports Journalist of the Year in recent times too? What a pack of morons we have covering our national game, although to be fair they are representative of some of the thugs we have on the pitch and - to some extent - in the stands too, so perhaps we deserve the likes of Samuel, Holt, Dunn and Woolnough in this country. These people can also count convicted thug Rob Shepherd amongst their number, paragons of virtue they are not. Vile pack of two-faced two-chinned hounds, each with their own vile agenda; remember how vilified Bobby Robson was as England manager by the papers compared to his sanctification in the press when he died.

Instead, Samuel - the fat f*ck who as far as I know has contributed bugger all to society save his poisonous printed word - chooses to make cheap jibes about an intelligent man in the autumn of a decent career who has done more good community work through his Foundation than Samuel and his cronies could ever hope to replicate.

LoyalRoyalFan As you may know Jason Roberts presents 606 on Saturday evenings.

Do you agree with this? Is it good for a Reading player to be presenting a nationwide radio show? Maybe we can get some extra coverage?

I'd rather Roberts present a radio show on a Saturday evening than go out clubbing in Bristol like Leroy Lita.

Also, Graeme Murty used to be on the radio and Match of the Day quite alot.

Don't really give a toss what he does as long as he (continues) to score goals on the pitch.

I felt a bit sorry for the bloke when all the Blackburn fans rung into to complain (fair enough) about their performances but he probably was told to toe the party line and remain positive!

I agree, but I would have to draw the line at bumming children.

When has Graeme Murty ever been on Match of the Day? Lapping it up next to Alan Shearer, Alan Hansen and Lee Dixon.

What next? Lower league legend Marcus Hall presenting Football Focus?

I think I could forgive it if he can average a goal every 120 mins.

Quite a while ago now, and it was Match of the Day 2. Same for Marcus Hahnemann.

retro royal I remember when I use to DJ every Friday, that I would not work as well, thinking what am I going to play tonight, I was at a desk and not running around a pitch.

How can he talk about sport, when he's been playing, oh what happened today, "I dont know, thats why you're the expert on the phone in".

Don't mind him doing it, as long his #1 focus is RFC, I reckon he'll stop doing it now

Couldn't have been too good at the DJ'ing then.......

He was and is often on a football league highlights show, but not match of the day.

Basically 'Sports Journalist of the Year' means you're a oxf*rd. Pretty much the only journalist worth reading these days is Henry Winter, most of the rest deserve to be Frimponged.

Chelsea fans once again demonstrating why they are the thickest fans in football. Roberts is talking about the timing of the trial as he states very clearly in the very first sentence of his tweet, not the presumed guilt or innocence of Terry. A point that only John Motson of the rest of the mainstream media seems to grasped.

I hope the club have a metal detector in their mail room, I'm sure the bullets are winging their way to Hogwood as we speak.

Perhaps this thread should be a sticky as presumably we'll be commenting on the Reading content of 6-0-6 every week and also if Jason makes any similar noticeable comments on the show.

Good as he is as a pundit, he has stated he wants a media career.

And as Reading striker Jason Roberts he must be a much more marketable pundit than Blackburn has-been Jason Roberts.

He played a good 20 minutes against Bristol but he was quickly knackered. He is old for a footballer so getting fit won't be quick.

Watch for all the supportive words to change when he is giving his views to the nation after his first p1sspoor performance for Reading.
