Royal & Ancient 1947/8. Season. No idea who they were playing but remember Bill Amor out of his Police uniform and Maurice Edelston who I was to meet many years later on the Tennis courts. I would be 15 then, entry in Tilehurst Road, 1 sh and 3 pence. Long time interest but too old and infirm to go now even if we could.
