Hound On the Grass really has just become a completely meaningless phrase now hasn’t it? Be nice if journos didn’t just accept that as an answer

Contact makes a bit more sense - guessing it’s still a couple of weeks min for Paudie

I assume 'on the grass' means out of the gym and actually kicking a ball around, but not yet getting involved in anything too physical.

Or it could just mean that he is running on grass to start to build up fitness. That's why Hound is spot on. A simple question: 'What does being on grass involve in terms of fitness and training regime?' or something similar.

The trouble is that we seem to have lost most of the external journalist input/questions with the club having persuaded James Earnshaw to move over to the dark side!

It was better when we'd be told

In the gym
In light training
In full contact training

I honestly thought it was more widespread a term and that it basically dated back to Paul McGrath.

Don’t know if it’s true but overheard someone at the Mansfield game talk about how they had seen O’Connor the week before outside a ground and he had told them that in coming back from his initial calf injury he had tweaked the other one.

Yes - someone at Stockport said he'd had a set back and is unlikely to be back until after the Nov international break.

Andy Yiadom played 45 minutes yesterday and looked good - hopefully no side effects/fresh injuries so makes the bench at the weekend

Tuma is away with Malta so hopefully he can stay fit as he was ok in pre-season

Anyone know what's up with Fraser? Noel mentioned "a couple of knocks" but that was a fortnight ago

I'm sure Hunt said something about a set back a little while ago, alongside Williams recovering quicker than expected.

With Paul McGrath it was usually "on the piss".
