Millsy Yes I get that, invites pressure on us inevitably.

I just think it shows up how shite our defence is though. We clearly need to be choosing the nuclear option because zonal (or otherwise) systems aren't working. Get that fixed and hopefully we can stop defending like a primary school team again.

More people in the box also means more people in the way, and more confusion about zones of responsibility as theyre smaller and more numerous.

How often do we see the players looking at each other like 'I thought that was yours' after a goal or chance. Quite often I'd say.

I think it’s pretty harsh to call for Pauno Out - can’t think of many managers that have been as hamstring as Velko.

A transfer embargo, an incoming points deduction and a ridiculous injury crisis - no half decent manager would be interested in the job in the current circumstances anyway.

Indeed, he has been dealt a terrible hand - Trouble is, the style of play just isn’t working and that’s his responsibility.

We have become so easy too play against as everyone knows what we are going to do, and how to stop it.

I’m a bit fed up watching it.

Thank God I don’t pay to watch it - I can go to Stag Meadow and watch frustratingly under-coached players running around for Windsor.

Both of my teams have a good deal of talent on the pitch but can’t deliver.

A manager has to have multiple plans and have coached the players well enough that they can switch plans on demand. With barely 11 senior pros available I know it’s tough, but I can’t recall us ever changing a game in recent memory by adapting to circumstances, identifying an opportunity to capitalise on a weakness, changing the plan mid-game.

Much as it pains me I’m beginning to advance down the Paunovic out path.

Pissed off with Swift who saved Pauno’s job in the Peterborough game.

Last chance saloon on Saturday. The coaching staff don’t have a clue how to turn things around. We run out of steam and refuse to make changes until it’s too late and even then the subs are negative.

Brum are really improving and expect them to win 2-0. If so it has to be the end for Pauno and his team because they are taking us down. Apart from a brief surprising run of narrow wins in September we have barely won a game since early Spring. Time is about to run out.

We should have got rid of the clown in April when I started this thread. It was obvious all the way back then he wasn’t up for the job. He has to go

He needs to go now but not sure that anyone else can save us. The rot has set in and we just have to ride it out. This is football and happier days will come back round.

Whatever the circumstances on injuries we've won 7 of our last 27 games. That's over half a season of relegation form.

I want him gone.

Urgh.

Having flipped from Pauno Out to Pauno In on the back of the great run once he brought his players in I'm having a hard time justifying my views now on the back of four defeats.

At least we went 4-4-2, but we did inexplicably take Puscas (who was in my view brilliant) off and put Swift up front. Then again at least we dropped Shitewater and changed things up a bit.

11 men in the box for corners it looked like.

Once again totally unable to affect a game in a positive way. Outplaying them first half, then oppo team talk >> our team talk yet again and we get sussed out.

Injuries and embargoes can't be a perpetual excuse.

But... I still really do enjoy watching this side play. Urgh my brain hurts. On the fence at the moment. 4 defeats in a row is indefensible.

He’s never convinced me, simply because of no Plan B, oh and the poor substitutions.

But can’t see the alternative, given the current issues at the club. Who is going to want this gig?

To be honest even if Pauno does go sooner or later, the club is a total shambles from top to bottom which I blame Dai Yongge for. We've broken FFP rules that have got us into this situation and now the club doesn't own the stadium or Bearwood. We are basically restricted in who we can sign for the next 2 years until we get average overpaid dross off the wage bill. Think we just need to ensure we don't end up in the relegation trap door come the final day of the season, I'd take 21st now.
The injury crisis I don't think is bad luck, something really isn't right behind the scenes with player care. There needs to be a thorough review within the club about why we keep getting recurring similar injuries.

Even the experience at the stadium for home games is shocking. The catering company Compass that serve pies and burgers have a hygiene rating of 1! The club ditched those decent street food stands. The food was pricey but it was decent and interesting. Not the overpriced dross we get now with an atrocious hygiene score. Twice now the stewards don't open the exits of the east stand to a point where fans kicked the doors open and not opening the gates properly at the east stand after the Bournemouth game. This is in light of a covid pandemic! To me theres just no common sense at the club, no leadership, no brains whether on the pitch or off it. We let 200+ QPR fans sit in our end! Which is crazy.

A relegation to league one and maybe even league two is brewing for us. If not this season then in a season or 2.

I think Paunovic should have no complaints if we part company but in all honesty I would not trust us to get anyone good in to manage us nor would we attract a decent calibre manager. Maybe another unknown like Jose Gomes who was a huge gamble that luckily paid off for us. Who would want to work at a club in the mess we're in?

Dunno but if we’re going to lose games I’d rather do it trying to look like we have a legitimate game plan and make a concerted effort to not lose.

We have some really good players and injuries aside we should still be doing better. Think they’d play better without the manager tbf.

You say that but we switched to a new formation last night and for the 1st half Millwall were chasing shadows (after 15mins) but the final ball was only ever nearly there.

I contend we are only really easy to play against as opponents know we will tire, again due to the relative paucity of experienced replacements, they will then see more of the ball, get more shots on goal and turn around whatever the match situation may be.

We did shift formation again later in the game but the tanks were empty and whilst we were more around their box, we seemed incapable of doing anything of note.

Second comment this morning that is highly questionable regarding race.

Mark Bowen
Paul Clement
Brian McDermott's 2nd spell in charge

They all worked really well.
