windermereROYAL If Derby don`t find a buyer it won`t matter if they finish above us..providing of course we finish 3rd bottom.

There is no chance of Derby being liquidated. They will be fine.

Yep. They will be saved, too big of a club with too much potential to die. Someone will come in and save them, have no doubt about it.

Yep, someone is just waiting to the 11th hour when the cost will likely drop and then will buy.

Sorry but that made me laugh.

reckon it'll be Ashley. And he knows how to play the game. Get them for the cheapest price possible, adorn the ground with his lovely Sports Direct Ads and go from there

Yeah it is a safe bet. Say what you want about him (and you can) but in terms of finances at Newcastle I think he did a pretty good job, certainly made them attractive enough to be taken over by the richest people in the world.

John Smith Derby v Peterborough is the weekend after this

I'd say draw or away win would be best, assuming we don't lose at Peterboro.

Obviously, but my point is that Derby will win and could quite realistically be within 1 point of us by 5pm that day

I think the only saving grace is that our game in hand on them is against Peterborough and you've surely got to think we'd win that game. If we don't, we are as good as down unless we change our manager.

Derby have Boro this weekend which is a tough one to call given the anomosity between the clubs but their away from is poor, just 2 wins, so you would think that a draw is the best you can hope for.

We have 2 games before they play Peterboro - we can pull away from the bottom 3 in the next few days, if we can somehow find a way to actually win a game or two.

Going to win again at some point. Next game is as likely as any but naturally have no expectation of that anymore.

Cov's form is better than Bristol's was. And they're higher up the table.

I don't think the next game is our best shot.

Home crowd could well be pivotal but it's always going to come down to whether the team can give something for the fans to get behind, otherwise it will likely have the adverse affect and turn really toxic.

But according to you, what is?

Peterborough will be in better form over the last 10 games than us, so they aren't ideal opponents. Preston are higher up the table and in better form, likewise Blackpool etc.

Home form has been dreadful for ages i think that's just likely to heap on pressure and the crowd will turn quicker.

Best chance would be Posh in the immediate future.

Barnsley depending on form change.

Then if it was a case of current form and we could pick our next game excluding them, Brum, Swansea, Millwall, WBA would be better bets than Cov currently.

Bristol's home form is much better than Cov's away - they had won 5 of the last 8 at home (still have after last night) - Cov have only won 2 away in the last 8.

I have no expectation of a win in any game but the point stands, we will win again at some point. The next game is as likely as any. Saturday is naturally a bit different, there will be a full house (or close to) whish will bring a very strange atmosphere given the planned protest - so who knows how the team will react to that.

Hull's form is decent but they score very few and unlike Swansea have no real individual goal scorers either.

Outside possibility, especially if their form dipped.

You know full well that we'll lose 2-1 having taken the lead

Again, that is the expectation and I will not be surprised in the slightest if we were to lose 3-2 having been 2-0 up in injury time but the point stands - any football team in a poor run will win again at some point. The next one is as likely as any other, if not more so simply due to the fact it is next.

I'm also aware there is a chance that it may be in August against Cheltenham.
