We're trending in the right direction and as Clyde mentioned we have played a lot of the current top teams. Over the past few games the football has vastly improved and if the right balance and system has been found then we should slowly continue the upwards trend.
A win on Saturday we put us comfortably mid table which is where most expected us to be.
We all know it would be a slow start basically starting from scratch and that's been the case. Give Noel until Christmas and another chance at the transfer window and i expect a better second half of the season and to be on outside chance at the play-offs. If results go our way at the weekend we may only be 7 points off the play-offs and it's only October.

I was in the Hunt out camp but the last few games he seems to have the players on side, making more effort, so I'm back to wait a few more games.

I still think he's tactically poor, and nobody else would employ him as a manager.

He’s probably earnt a bit of time, if we lose Saturday pressure will be right back on though. If we win he probably has another month or so minimum

Couhig certainly had a changed tone from previously in that interview - reckon he’d have been axed had we lost on Tuesday

Mid Sussex Royal
Clyde1998 I wrote an article for The Tilehurst End prior to the Cardiff game and went on Monday evening: https://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/20 ... continuity

It's a long one, but covers a number of topics which hadn't been in the typical discourse and attempts to give a balanced opinion on why sacking Hunt wouldn't my preference.

I did leave out a few points, as the objective was to get it finished prior to Cardiff. For logistical reasons, it couldn't get on the website until Monday evening.

Thanks - good read.

The demographic thing re Twitter/X is interesting....there's always been this assumption (often from non users) that its largely a kids only area, but the majority of RFC opinion formers on there that I know certainly are not.

Seems last night that Couhig's visit was unscheduled, and his vocabulary has certainly changed since the STAR meeting......reckon Hunt could have been gone if last night and maybe Sat had gone the wrong way.

I think that's a fair point about Twitter - a lot of those making the loudest statements are older, but I think a lot of the viewers of this content are younger and have the most malleable opinions as a result.

There doesn't seem to be too many people actually posting on a regular basis on Twitter either, but there's enough viewers to influence the discourse. Have noticed though, the club's tweets only seem to get 3-5k views on most posts out of a follower count of nearly 370k.

Couhig's unscheduled visit could well be an indication of Hunt's fragility in the job, but could also be some PR to show 'they're listening' or similar.
