I'm with Fox Talbot on this one. I really think the FA are waiting for today's results before administering a penalty that won't affect the play-offs.

Who actually makes the decision as to the punishment?

The hearing is in front of an Independent Regulatory Commission - do they just give their verdicts and the FA decide on the punishment or are these anonymous learned gentlemen tasked with deciding the appropriate punishment?

It's just that many people believe that the FA are delaying the decision until after the final games so they can see what needs to be done - but is it really the FA's decision to make?

This Independent Commission isn't made up of some two-bit FA Administrators presumably so I can't see that the FA will have any influence on their verdict. If they announce a damning verdict and then the FA fudge it all by allowing QPR promotion anyway then the charge of "not fit to govern" could be levelled at them and one could see complete mutiny on the cards.

I still cling to the belief that if found guilty they will not be playing PL football next season. (But then I suppose it could depend on the degree of guilt...!)

Oh well, we shall see....

Absolutely. Found guilty (although the specific charges they were found guilty over are yet to be confirmed.).
On the surface this seems to be a massive FA cock-up.

I agree, and with PERCY.

We all half expected it though. I'll be interested in what they were found guilty of in comparison to other clubs like Luton who were deducted 10 points for something.. (unregistered agent?)

Whingeing welsh twats

Can we all say a magnanimous well done to QPR? Best team in the division by a mile, outplayed us twice with 10 men. Their fans shouldn't be denied promotion by a daft technicality.

Essentially, if you can afford a big enough team of eminently expensive QCs, you can do what you like.

^^ this.

Billionaire owners. Money talks and where there's money there's always corruption somewhere. Maybe not in this case as the best law team would have been appointed, but football is riddled with it. It has to be with the money that's at stake.
