I remember those days with the dreadfull Nick Harris. For those who don't it was BBC radio Oxford and we were treated in the same way Maidenhead Utd are on radio Berks as an incoveniance, but better show an interest just in case anyone was listening, which was unlikley as the reception was crap if you lived in East Reading.

We often listen to him and Mick during a live game.
(We think) He's a v.good action commentator but a lousy pundit.
He's all too ready to pick on one of out players like he's a scapegoat for what's happening.

He was hardly "having a go". He pointed out his dissapointment that these lads had been waiting in the wings for a chance and they didn't take it. In fact, his point was that both players have the ability and should have really done better.

Manset spent an alarming amount of time in the wrong position and would not, despite McD waving his arms out of their sockets, get into the box. When he was in a position to get the ball, he lost it carelessly.

And Just about every decision made by Antonio was a duff one and he lacked any sort of discpline on the ball.

Dellor was totally right to point out that these chaps blew an opportunity to shine.

I listen to Tim Dellor on the radio while I am watching the match live. Sometimes he explains things, sometimes he says the wrong thing but he is usually amusing. And of course you hear the team selection and can hear what the players say and also Brian McDermott's thoughts.

I would rather listen to Dellor on the radio than listen to 95% of the delightful people who post on this forum.

Here here. I think TD is great . Am sure Reading FC is printed on his heart. Sometimes he has to criticise players if they are playing badly or not trying.

Give me TD to Motson etc.

I'm not wrong Ian. From listening to him a few times at the ground that he only talks about other stuff when the ball is out of play, there's an injury or the game is flat. You just don't like it because it doesn't suit your agenda and if you're not prepared to watch or hear the same evidence for your self outside of edited material then you can't prove otherwise.

I'm willing to bet I've watched more home games on Reading Player with his commentary on than you've listened to his commentary at matches.

Maybe he didn't do it in the ones you listened to. Doesn't mean he doesn't do it. And he certainly doesn't do a good job of describing what's happening on the pitch. It's impossible to tell what's going on half the time.
