Can someone explain the booing of Chem Campbell ??

The guy came in on loan and played a part in what could have been our last ever season
He was a free agent and had to choose between us and Stevenage, he chose Stevenage...so f**king what maybe he wanted the guarantee of first team selection week in, week out. Maybe the uncertainty of our existence last season made him think twice about signing on for us

Agree, there's nothing in their time here or their departures that warranted booing, however I presume it's just done to try and wind them up and put them off their game (it didn't work with Billy). Like with Rufus (is a dog's name) Brevett and, the ultimate booing of all time reserved for poor Paul Futcher.

Absolutely nothing outstanding in this division that I`ve seen so far, we`re 7 points off the play-off as it stands. it won`t take that much of an improvement to get into the mix.
Stevenage 4th, bang average from what we saw last night if that`s the benchmark there`s no reason we can`t get there.

Both Futchers got it unmercifully from our fans and one of them (Ron) fully deserved it for his 'assault' on Hicksey! Poor Paul (RIP) was guilty through familial connections!

I think our record when D Williams starts is 4 wins, 3 draws, 1 defeat (Cardiff). Paudie would be second in the whoscored ratings if he’d played enough games to qualify

Along with JP there’s no doubt who are our most impt players. If those 3 can play the vast majority of games til end of season, play offs isn’t out of the question

It's almost like whilst Hunt wasn't doing a stellar job, results were crippled by injuries to key players, and getting those players fit massively improves us.

Can't be a co-incidence we've got seven points from the three games we've been able to play Paudie and Williams together and Abrefa has jumped up a level with those two at centre-back.

The booing that I heard was from the East Stand. He got a decent round of applause (deserved) when he was subbed but I'm not sure whether he realised it was for him as we started subbing players as he was walking around the pitch.

DK played well last night but my main criticism previously is he is way too safe and never puts a cross in. Not actually that fast and about as exciting as the Coronation Street omnibus.

The last few teams he's played against must have had really slow defenders then, as he was regularly beating them for pace. I'm pretty sure I've seen comments from opposition fans regarding his pace too. Would be great to see sprint speeds of our various players as they would bring some objectivity into the discussions, in the same way that heat maps can.

I actually find him quite an exciting player and one who is likely to make things happen.

I guess, as they say, it's all about opinions.

Dunno on sprint speeds and if published. Best I can think of is FIFA cards!

He isn’t slow certainly - I just don’t think he is game changer fast.

Just being a stats bore again, he dribbles less than once a game, few key passes and rarely actually gets dispossessed. I honestly can’t remember him crossing the ball in any game

Someone like that Cozier Duberry kid has 2.5 dribbles per game, loses possession twice a game. That’s sort of what I’d expect off a genuine risk taking winger

But he impressed me last night so all good

Crosses - 0.1 a game.
But the only wide player in our side who betters that is Lane.

And to be honest, I'd rather he fed Wing/Savage/Lane around the edge of the box, played a through ball or got to the byline and put in a pull back than cross for the opposition CBs to head clear or go over everyone.

We’ve not been set up previously to cross the ball so I’m not 100% blaming him, but he didn’t look keen on occasions last few games when he’s had the chance. Not sure you can classed a la a ‘proper winger’ if you don’t cross the ball

We’ve actually scored a few from crosses recently - Kelvin at Northampton, MoM Carlisle, even that one last night originated from a cross to Kelvin that got cleared off the line. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more

Why on earth did Ritchie decide to pick up his fourth yellow card of the season for what was, basically, pissing about with the ball? If I was Richardson, I'd have been fuming with that. It was fully deserved and I mean seriously Ritchie, wtf?

Agreed. Exceptionally unprofessional, particularly from such an experienced, senior, player. Gained us no advantage whatsoever by doing it.

I suspect Leam will file it under the awful phrase of “game management” which he was complaining about a lack of after the Carlisle defeat.

It’s the modern game sadly and I dislike it but it serves the purpose of disruption and breaking up momentum.
