I'd rather see us consign them to the playoffs than see that happen at home. Then again, the cliffhanger of a Norwich away win, SU losing and us beating Brum at home would be an entertaining way to end the season. Going up on goal differance would be cheeky.

Although the STG part of me would fear the unrealistic aspirations and heartbreak of a premier season.

Even if we win the last two games I got a feeling that it will be Sheff Utd that will go up.Just think who they are playing and who the manager is.He dont exactly love us do he.It will be a stitch up

I think Palace will do us a favour.

And if they do go up, good. Would be better for us without them in the playoffs.

FFS, there will be no stitch up! Warnock and Blackwell aren't that close anymore. Warnock being Warnock will want a win over hos former club and former assistant.

...and CP have reasons to have a lot of time for Coppell. I honestly think they will go for an honest fair win. Not sure they can do it though. It will be hard to admit that SU get the points they deserve.

I agree. Warnock is a life long Blades supporter and will want to repay them for taking them down from the Prem. He also hates Reading and there is nothing in it for Palace aso he will no doubt field his reserve team.

It would be ironic for John Oster to hold OUR fate in his hands

Warnock may be a loud mouth passionate twat. But he hates losing and is a professional. He will not throw the game against Sheffield.

I predict we beat Norwich and then we beat Brum 3-0 and after 90 minutes it being 1-0 to Sheffield United at Palace. The ref calls 5 minutes of injury time due to a streaker protesting the G20. In the third minute of injury time Palace get a penalty. Up steps John Oster to caress the ball home. Cue wild celebrations in Reading and an Oster statue erected...

Reading will fail to beat Norwich so it will make the last day of the season boring.

Won't be boring as we'll still be playing for a good play off position and to keep one of the more beatable teams in the play offs with us.

Archie. I can only concur with this visionary post.
Can you give me a refund if Narch beat us tomorrow night though?

More likely we will beat Norwich, but then suffer from a huge dose of stage fright on the last day of the season and in a poor display when the pressure is really on we'll lose 2-0.

I am fearful of a repeat of the Fulham home game last year. Then again, from what I've seen of Birmingham, it may well be 2 very nervous teams slugging it out in a shite match on a shite pitch, ending in a scrappy 0-0, with SheffU nicking a dodgy 1-0 at Palace to go second!

Then of course, we might just hammer Birmingham with a slick display of attacking football, scoring 4 without reply ..... only to see SheffU awarded a dodgy pen in the 93rd minute at Palace ..... which is ballooned high over the bar .....

I'm actaully getting myself excited about next weekend!?!?!

Better go and have a lie down!
