Simon's Church Adkins said guthrie got injured again i think. Different muscle, same leg

That's more worrying then a re-tweak of the same muscle. He's spent a lot of time injured.

Lacoste

Schards#2 Robson-Kanu?

The longer he stays injured the better.

Can anyone list the injured players, injury they have and expected return?

It's pretty desperate the amount of players we have out injured and also quite concerning.

He got hoofed in the calf in the opening exchanges of the Ipswich game and was hobbling for a few minutes after that, so I could believe that it's progressed to a bit more of an injury after back to back games.

Adkins just confirmed it was his calf from Tuesday night.

If we can get a point at Middlesborough that would be lovely. Re-group, hopefully sign 1/2 players, and hopefully Guthrie & Jem back after the international break.

I doubt if he's get a game now even if he was fit. Has always played just for his contract not for the club and his contract is not up yet so doesn't need to actually start putting any effort into getting fit/losing weight until this time next year.

I haven't read the whole thread apologies if this has been said before but with the club buying up midfielder's is there a chance that some on the injured list might never actually never come back and the club already know this???

You've got to question whether we'd renew Guthrie's contract given his likely cost to us. And Williams came to us with injury concerns already and has since proceeded to break down regularly. Karacan needs to have a good return to the first team to be worth renewing after two serious injuries and long term lay off. You've got to question Akpan's future at the club given how little he's featured during a midfield injury crisis.

So now according to the OS Hector and Tshibola are also injured!!

Just what the f*ck is going on at the club?! This number of injuries now surpasses even the worst of bad luck. There must be something seriously wrong with one or more of the following: training methods, sports science, warm ups, warm downs, physio, medical support, diagnosis etc.

Hard to blame the club for injuries like Obita's that happen during a game. It's knocks during training you have to be worried and upset by. We've had far too many of those.

Adkins should get Niall Clark to come in and sort out our preparation and training. When he was here we had a near perfect injury record and ever since he and then his influence left it's got worse and worse.

There has to be something wrong for this number to unavailable and if it's not the preparation or treatment then I can ony image that some of the players just don't want to play for the manager and are pulling a fast one.

Adkins used to be a physio of course, somewhat ironically.

Agreed - that's why I didn't list Obita. However, the efficiency of his recovery will be a measure of the quality of the medical/physio/sports science support at the club.
