Not convinced about McCarthy up front, but I like the idea of two players in goal.

Kitson12 According to Lawson D'Ath's Twitter, he's on the bus up to Barnsley. So bench appearance? Remember Antonio got his debut at Barnsley last season under Bodgers.

Woodcote Royal If Morrison starts and makes the same impact as McCarthy, no one will be more delighted than me.
However, calling him a "specialist" in making a case for dropping the highly experience Gunnarsson when 20 year old Morrison has only played a handful of league games, including none at this level, borders on the laughable.
We are all delighted with McCarthy's performances and I really hope Brian elects to give him the luxury of the same back line two games running; one that was breached just once by one of the most expensively assembled sides on the planet.
With the best part of an entire team on the treatment table, one of the most pleasing aspects of our form in the last month or so has been the performances of our squad players, who have made a mockery of claims that we lack depth. If Brian was prepared to leave Jem on the bench on his return from suspension because Tabb had done well in his absence, I hope he applys the same principle here.
Not only would this allow Karacan to keep his place at right back rather than leave an experienced player on the bench when we are already down to the bare bones, it would also assist the club in making some big decisions for the future.
Morrison will still be here next season regardless and there will be many less risky occasions for him to make his debut. On the other hand, Bryn and Kish made huge claims for their retention up at Eastlands and ones that we can't afford to ignore when only promotion will bring an end to resources being stretched to breaking point.
Furthermore, IMHO, our centre back pairing against City was not only impressive, it was as good as I've seen all season. Not only do they both possess much better distribution than any of their rivals in this birth, all sides need experience somewhere in their ranks and I'd prefer to see it housed in central defence rather than left to the mercy of speed kings like Kebe out on the flank.
These two have more to offer going forward than Ingamarrson, amongst others, and they both more than earned the right at Eastlands to pursue those claims at lowly Barnsley

Hoop Blah Seems to me like we have too long an injury list for some reason. If Legiertwood and Hunt are doubtful then we must have almost a whole team out or touch and go. They all seem to be little niggles that have then got worse and kept them out longer than first thought too.
I'd play Morrison instead of persevering with Gunnarsson. As well as Gunnarsson did their against City it's a different kettle of fish this week and if the lads good enough to be worth buying then he should be good enough to play.

Ian Royal On the subject of Gunnar at centreback - it's not a great idea in the league if there are specialist options because he's likely to be more exposed in the league as the whole team will be less focussed on stopping Barnsley getting through than we were with Citeh. That means we'll have more possession and territory opening up a bit mroe at the back.
