Just saying what you see.... that's the defence of the rude and tactless morons on Big Brother normally isn't it?

Why exactly did you feel the need to tweet to Federici that he wasn't likely to get back in the team because McCarthy's doing so well? What a stupid and unhelpful thing to do. I don't blame him in the slightest.

Oh well shit happens.
Feds looks slightly peed off today pre-match. THAT is not surprising as with all players they want to be on the pitch playing. You seem a tad coy about offering up your opinion as to what you 'tweeted'. Perhaps there is more to what you tweeted that you imply, perhaps not. Feds can listen to us supporters bleating on all day but the only people he needs to listen to are the team, management and his own family.
A total stranger offering up an opinion can be perceived as presumptuous, rude and the polar opposite to the support he possibly needs.

That is my presumptuous opinion.

It's interesting that people seem to consider they have a right to enter a stranger's personal space in some small way via the internet / Twitter, say whatever they like in criticism, and for that person to carry on letting them into their personal space in the future. How bizarre is that?

*We cannot just equate our great run with McCarthy's presence in goal!!!*

I'm not saying McCarthy is rubbish - he's clearly an excellent prospect and possibly better than Feds ever was at his age and may possibly end up better than Feds

BUT

No doubt about it, Feds is the better keeper. I think we've let in more than enough poor goalswith McCarthy.

HOWEVER

With the run going so well at the moment it may be a little unwise to disrupt a winning formula.

SO

In summary although Feds is best I think McCarthy should stay till the end of the season for continuity and that's fine because he's actually quite good.

What would I do though in a playoff final situation? I'd be tempted to revert back to Feds.

I prefer McCarthy to Federici.
Wouldn't mind if he was sold, and we have the Dane as back up.

I think Feds will go in the Summer anyway, but if he doesn't we're in the enviable position of having two quality keepers on our books with what appears to be solid back-up behind them.

Gotta laugh at (I assume) this muppet going back to apologise to Federici on a second twitter account an hour or so later.

Not sure it's very obvious that Feds is the better keeper.

Feds was letting in 1.1 goals per game and we were scoring 46-35 = 1.44 For 1.1 against getting 1.38 ppg

McCarthy is letting in 1.2 but we are playing more open football 27-12 = 2.7 For, 1.2 against, getting 2.9 ppg

32 46-35 GD increasing by 0.33 pg 1.1 goals conceded 1.38 ppg
10 27-12 GD increasing by 1.5o pg 1.2 goals conceded 2.90 ppg

Feds had had two howlers this season both VERY expensive. Forest home cost us two points, Cardiff away probably cost us two points.

McCarthy commands the area a LOT better. Feds MIGHT edge it on shot-stopping and experience.

Flog him in the summer for seven figures and we've done a cracking bit of business.

McCarthy has done really well and deserves his place in the side. Federici did OK but is never convincing IMO. He's got a taste of regular football and wont want to be number two anymore, so he's offski, I hope.

I'd sooner sell Feds than lose a Kebe or a McAnuff to ease our deficit this summer (if we stay down).

murts_the_god After tweeting following todays game i was very shocked that feds decided to block me on twitter after replying to my tweet( which i didnt read because he deleted it before i had the chance to read it) because i think that Mccarthy is the keeper in form at the minute and i cant see a way back for feds as things look. im sorry but as a season ticket holder for longer than i care to remember and the fact that my money goes into their pockets i think i am entitled to an opinion whether it was negative or positive and for a role model to a lot of people who support him i think its disgusting that he can just block and delete and basically ignore anyone who critisises him, also makes me wonder if he can get the hump because of what someone on tinternet says to him what if someone were to say the same thing to his face, sorry mate no respect for you.
anyway rant over another good win today more of the same please

Federici also won us 3 points at Derby by playing out of his skin and making 4 or 5 world class saves

I doubt, barring injury, that Feds will play again this year. Firstly he has to be a bit game rusty, so why chance it when every point is so crucial from here on out? Secondly, how can you take Alex out right now? I love Feds as a player, so my opinion isn't a knock on him, I think he is a top notch keeper, but I personally think it could be risky putting him back in right at the moment.
