When he's in better form RB he can try the flicks and tricks. You don't want to admit this because you love him but he's in terrible form so perhaps he'd be best served going back to basics.

Every time he goes through I will him to do something, I predict he'll score practically every game in the prediction threads because I want him to score and do well but he just isn't doing it!

There's Dim Tellor having a tantrum about Vydra missing his shot.

From Despair To Where?
Longhorn1970 Are we all sweet on Piazon now then ??

now that he's being played in a position that plays to his strengths and where he doesn't get exposed and look like a little boy lost for 70 minutes, yes.

He's played well recently because he's being utilized properly and as someone who has been very critical of him, I take back a lot of my criticism

That's the role he had against Bolton when he scored ?

Dellor losing his sh1t over Vydra. He hasn't yet said "if he were a dog, I'd put him down", but it's coming.

Equally a striker doesn't want to be too predictable ..

He's been in instrumental in most of our goals for the last 4 or 5 games. He's clearly out of form and short on confidence, but is still very clearly a very good player who should be getting encouragement, not a slating. And he demonstrably doesn't give the ball away that much. Unless you want to start slating 80% of the rest of the squad for the same thing.

"Dreadful miss from Vydra - after great play from McCleary" - Charles Watts.

Not just Dellor.

sandman "Dreadful miss from Vydra - after great play from McCleary" - Charles Watts.

Not just Dellor.

The difference is Dellor had a complete tantrum over it.

And has been on Vydra's back since the first minute.

It may well have been a poor miss. He may well not be having the best game. But Dellor's made his mind up and is only seeing what he expects to see. He recognises that Vydra's problem is confidence based, and yet he's all fired up to go to McDermott at the end of the game and focus on Vydra's performances, challenging him about why he's playing. This is only going to pile more pressure on Vydra, which is the last thing he needs. Dellor's too emotionally involved and too partisan, always backing his favourites (Gunter) and always on the back of the players he's not impressed by (Vydra). Regardless of what point in the match it is, and regardless of anything that disagrees with his view.

He's like the mental fans who shout abuse at a player before they've even touched a ball, only with a BBC politeness and slim veneer of impartiality.

Vydra should at least have hit the target, but bit of a stitch up by McCleary who should've gone for goal himself. We've been pretty shite. Would like to see Quinn on for Hal or Piazon.

Also, exactly who do we have to replace Vydra?

Sa - yeah, maybe though his scoring record is almost as bad.
Cox - has been on an even worse run in front of goal for the last year.
Liburd - too inexperienced
HRK - worse scoring record.
