Snowflake Royal Wareham and Craig would likely be the same as Mbengue. More likely you're confusing one of those with Knibbs I'd have thought.

How would Knibbs have moved to Charlton if he is under contract and a fee isn't agreed? We had his registration. When else has a player under contract left and the fee been set by tribunal?

That's only true if the clubs involved can't agree a fee between them. The Mbengue one is certainly ongoing, as Reading believed we should be getting more than QPR have offered.

Don't know about Wareham or Craig, but fees from them could've been agreed between Exeter and Leyton Orient respectively and ourselves - so wouldn't go to tribunal.

You only ever go to a tribunal for anything if both sides don’t agree to something. I'm not saying all out of contract player moveshave to go to tribunal, just that a player under contract doesn’t move unless there's an agreement, so there's no place for a tribunal in those deals

Orion1871 Yes, he is a liability. The situation this club is in, having to recover from Dai, is too big of a job for a rookie CEO who is learning on the job. 8)

Couhig is allegedly sharing the CEO duties with him, but I don't see how that doesn't create an issue having a guy who is your boss be sharing your job with you.

Yeah, a real liability

He’s got the relevant business qualifications and is loaded with a footballing background so a real issue to have him working at a football club.

He is Rob’s voice and decision maker, when Rob is not in the country, to enable those decisions to be made quickly, therefore would say it’s an ideal way for him to learn into the role full time rather than just have an inexperienced man just left to his own devices.

I obviously touched a nerve with that previous comment about the Knibbs transfer.

Having qualifications doesn't mean he's not a liability in the specific situation the club is in after Dai.

Of course not but give him a chance, he’s only been here a few months, like everybody else, so will take time to get things properly rolling.

In fairness, there are many facets to the role, and it’s clear he’s trying to get a handle on all aspects of the club.
I even heard him doing some of the stadium substitute announcements back in September. While there’s definitely room for improvement, he did OK for a first attempt.
If he applies that same enthusiasm across all areas of the club, he’ll get there in time.
