RoyalBlue Our 19 (the player we’ve got as a dual registration from Swindon?) is an absolute class above most of the other players on the pitch today!

Orion1871 Just reading about London Lionesses and their new "wealthy" American owner Michele Kang. Wonder if she is the woman Couhig said wanted to take over the RFC Women's team.

I think she’d already bought the Lionesses before that. I think there was a wife of an American footballer (funny shaped ball version) who was interested. Can’t recall her name at present. I believe it might have been Keilia Watt the wife of JJ Watt who now has a stake in Burnley FC.

Feels like a concerning result if promotion is the aim, Beaconsfield are newly promoted right?

This was the first time that I've seen the Women's team play since their catastrophic demise courtesy of Dai and his mates. No disrespect to those involved with the team now but it really did bring home how far we have dropped down the pyramid.

IMO substitutions and one seemingly shocking decision from the ref cost us at least a point, possibly all three.

I can't fathom out the decision to take off our two really live attacking players who were giving Beaconsfield a lot to worry about, particularly with several of their players already on yellows. And, given the rolling subs rule, why not bring them back on at the death for one last gasp at salvaging a point.

As for the ref, he must have been one of only a very few people in the ground (if there were indeed any others) who failed to see the keeper bring down our player in a one on one situation as she nudged the ball past the keeper. I can only assume his argument might be that the player had lost control of the ball but IMO she had plenty of time and space to get back onto it once she was past the keeper.

I think the team will start to gel and also improve fitness levels so, tempting fate, I don't think there's much risk of relegation. However, they will have to do much much better to figure in any promotion race,

Just a side note: One of the Asst Referees today (Alan Higgs) used to referee my kids' games over twenty years ago, When I mentioned that, he told me that he will be 72 this year but he has to keep going as it gets him away from his wife!

Adobe Womens FA Cup draw 2nd round qualifying on Sunday 21st September sees us away to Manorcroft Utd.
They play at Coopers Hill rec Coopers hill lane Englefield Green Surrey TW 20 0lb
They should have played Tilehurst Panthers in 1st qualifying on Sunday but they had a WO.
I reckon they are tier 7 - 2 tiers below RFC
