Schards#2 The anger at tossing away two points we can ill afford to toss away was at least matched by the anger of listening to our utter cretin of a manager being interviewed. Is losing 4-2 to a side with some quality players better than drawing 1-1 to a side with none? It's arguable but having one opinion as opposed to the other, under no circumstances, means you are not a supporter. If Rodgers thinks Dellor is talking rubbish, he's entitled to tell him so. What he's not entitled to do is state that he's not a supporter and then churlishly not answer any subsequent questions. He came across as a total cock who can't cope with the pressure, and he really should apologise.
Isn't the search function useful? I was going to start a thread on what I regard one of the most extraordinary moments on BBC Berks to find it's been discussed in parts. Although not as much as I think is necessary, given Rodgers totally lost it.
Thankfully you have summed up my feelings Schards. Despite not wanting him him I've backed Rodgers but his approach to that interview has made me think twice.
Yes one has to bear in mind he was angry and emotional about the result but that's no excuse to be childish and rude to a very very reasonable question by a reporter.
If that's Rodgers' attitude to whenever someone points out his team is RUBBISH then as far as I'm concerned he can sod off. There's a world of difference between someone who knows his team is no good and is happy to admit it (despite positives such as a good performance) and someone who focusses only on the positives with his head in the sand an attacks anyone who dares suggest otherwise.
Stunned.
