I didn't mind Brighton before but they have a massive superiority complex when it comes to us. It really grates on them that we got our house in order 15 years or so ahead of them.

So for that reason, if it's not us I'd like to see Derby do it. Failing that, Wigan. However the team I despise the most is QPR without question. As long as someone knocks them out of it, I'll be mostly happy.

Sadly I can see QPR doing it, that will be a very bad day for football indeed

If we draw against Burnley, that puts us on 71pts +14 GD.

That means if Brighton win at Blackburn they go up. If they draw we go up on goals scored.

If we lose to Burnley, Brighton only need to draw to go up, I think this is the most likely result

No not good maths really. If we lose & Brighton draw then they go up on GD as we are currently both on +14

That's what PE said in the final line of his post. :|

Of course if Wigan lose both their next 2 games it might not actually matter what we do next week.

That would really put the cat amongst the pigeons should Brum pull off a big win on Tuesday...

God knows they need one

You're having as much of a mare as PieEater tbf.

PieEater was indeed incorrect but not for the 2 reasons you have offered.

PieEater said: If we draw and Brighton draw, we go up on GS.
Which is incorrect because if both teams draw then we'll be in the Play-offs due to being 1 point ahead.

50/50 to get into the playoffs, no to winning them!

IF we did beat Burnley I'd really fancy us to get to Wembley TBH. We'd be in relatively good form with 3 wins in a row & would have claimed a major scalp to give us a bit of confidence / momentum.

The likes of Derby & QPR have been confirmed in the play offs for so long now they've probably sub consciously taken their foot off the gas a bit which can be hard to snap out of.

This.

Over the past decade or so we have been something of a confidence team, often going on long runs of either positive or negative results. If we go into the playoffs on the back of 3 wins I could see us getting to Wembley.

This...Derby bets bet to win them, followed by Wigan of they get into them. If we get QPR him we might get to the final as QPR are playing shite at the moment, but Derby or Wigan would destroy us in the final

Derby have won five on the bounce, not exactly taking the foot off the gas..

I don't think people realise it but we're not very good.

Wow we finally won at home and wow we beat a relegation side but the same problem we've had all season (bar the 7-1 and 5-1 wins) is that we're just not very good.

We may well get lucky with Burnley or with other results but the chances of getting through the playoffs is minimal at best.

Pleease let this post come back to bite me!

If we have a first half like yesterday then Burnley will be out of site by half time.

The Burnley fans will be in party mood and become noisier still if we give them a goal start. The first goal will be so, so important on Saturday.

I can't see much better than a draw, just hope that will be enough.

Rather than Brighton having a massive superiority complex you appear to have a dreadful inferiority complex about so many teams.

Calm down Vic there's no need to lash out. Your favourite team aren't out of it yet even with Mr 50 yard Hollywood pass slipping, still plenty of points to be had.
