Problem is it starts from the beginning of time! Hence Bury are 33rd as they had a bit of success at the turn of the (last but one) century. Pretty abysmal methodology really as it will make no allowance for clubs such as Wigan who were, with due respect, nowhere 30 odd years ago. It should have been calculated on weighted averages, giving more credance to more recent performances rather than treating a cup win in 1906 the same as a cup win in 2006. Still, if anyone cares enough about it, they will produce their own website based their own particular algorithm. BTW, I don't care!

Can't really get on board with this thread. Brighton are a very similar club to us, there really isn't much in it. Good luck to them if they get in the play-offs, and if they do I genuinely hope they go up! Much rather them than a Derby or a QPR, or a half-empty JJB Stadium every week.

Can't really get on board with this post. I don't mind the club itself, they have a nice stadium and they play pleasant enough football, but the fans are the most superior acting bunch of fcuktards around. They way they bleat on you'd think we should just roll over on Saturday so that they can secure their rightful place in the top league of English football.

I only really actually dislike Pompey and Swindon when it comes to southern sides outside London.

Brighton rank about the same as Plymouth for being a nice little club with absolute divs for fans. Which admittedly still puts them above such dislike non-entities as Bournemouth and Wycombe.

Nobody likes a chip on the shoulder, let's face it. However, at least certain clubs with delusions of grandeur have actually had some grandeur about them in years gone by - Wolves, West Brom, Stoke City, Leicester City, Derby County etc. Begs the question, where has Brighton's shoulder chip been earned? I have had the misfortune of working with Brighton fans recently and most have a strange hatred of us and and inflated opinion of their club.

The RFC thing is recent and stems back to us nicking Coppell and Sidwell (he was on loan there when we signed him from Arsenal - they bid £100k I believe) and a couple of others - Kitson may have been one.

I hope they never get in the Premier league
