Keown and Cooper both missed the U21s' last competitive match. Cooper resumed training before that match though.
If worst comes to worst and McShane, Hector, Cooper, and Keown are
all injured, then there's always Sweeney and Hyam. To be honest, in terms of all round quality I don't think there's a great deal between those two, Cooper, and Keown (and Rob Dickie for that matter). Hyam isn't as physically dominating as the others but he reads the game particularly well, whilst Sweeney is probably the strongest and most aggressive. This wouldn't be the ideal match to start a new centre back, but I think they'd probably be OK against a normal Championship front line (particularly with Ferdinand alongside them).
