I would love it, I would really love it (to quote KK) if we thrashed Barnsley!

earleyroyal Last year 'we'll stay up easily, second season syndrome doesn't exist, Sidwell is no great loss...plenty of time, all we need to do is win the home games against our rivals...Tottenham have nothing to play for, we'll beat them'
This year '3 horse race...best squad in the league...we're going through a bad patch, once we hit top form we'll walk away with it...all we need to do is win our games in hand'
I look forward to the 2009/10 'win our last six games and we are staying up' thread 'because our squad really does look stronger than those around us'

Archie's penalty You do realise you misery guts are doing exactly what the others are doing but from the other angle? Is to hope such a crime?

andrew1957 Astoundingly with Sheffield losing tonight the jar is still a tiny bit open for automatic promotion. We need to win all three and have a few results go our way but stranger things have happened.
I know I will get the usual abuse for posting this but I for one will not lose hope til it is mathematically impossible.

I personally think it will not be possible after tomorrow but if we do win tomorrow then we just need:-
Cardiff to draw one of their last 3 (highly possible)
Shef Utd to draw one of their last 2 (playing Swansea saturday- so a must win for the swans and then Colin's lot on the last day of the season...so again highly possible)
Brum to lose their penultimate game( 5.15 K.O. Saturday, against Prston - a must win game for Preston so slightly possible).
Us to win our last 2 - nO F**KING chance.
Play offs it is then!!!!!

If all these things come to pass (unlikely but they could) then we'll be playing Brum on the last day, three points behind with a win taking us up. I'm sure if these miracles happened the team would be well fired up to turn Birminham over.
