Royalee Why don't you clueless pieces of dogshit stop calling for the heads of one of the best chairmen around and a man who is trying to change the way we play having only been here 3 months and go hang yourselves?

I've just realised how these people manage to survive with their heads so far up the man's posterior - it's because most of the crap comes out of his mouth! 'Shows how ambitious we are to get to the Premiership....'

Royalee Did we have a midfield or attack last season or did I just dream the last 5 months of the season up?

we did have both a midfield and an attack last season. or i dreamed august through to december. they stopped then, and you and i and everyone here have eulogised ever since why that might have happened. sadly though, what there was of them have now left the club and a bunch of macauley culkins have been left holding the fort.

heres to the future.

I hate Reading fans, makes me ashamed, everyone just calm down, moan if you like when the window shuts. I went to Swindon v Southampton last night, if you want to see a team in the shit, there is one. -9 points and i can honestly say that they were auful, probably go down again and what did there fans do? Sing constantly dispite them not having a shot on target for 90 mins and their goal keeper saving them from a mauling.......sounds familiar!

I know enough Saints fans to be able to report that their moaning as they dropped from top division regulars to second tier playoff candidates onward to mid-table and then finally relegation made us lot look like we all are on laughing gas. The only reason they supposedly now put us to shame is that they are through the looking glass. It can't get any worse for them even if they do continue dropping - they've got nothing but the constant pleasure-pain of infinite awfulness to look forward to and therefore are getting back to basics and starting to appreciate true football fandom in all its raw, masochistic dreadfulness.

Part of being on this discussion board is so we can all voice our opinions and reasons for them.
Some people come on here just to wind people up, sometimes it works and some people just ignore it, but to say we are better or worse than other clubs or we have no reason to moan or we should think about what fans of other clubs are going through is absolute rubbish.

We don't really care what other clubs are going through, on the whole we just care about OUR club. We may get a bit annoyed about what's happening at other clubs... franchise football or points deductions, but are we REALLY that fussed. Its not right but its ok to quote a famous songstress (R.E Thanks Ms Houston!)

john Madejski has divided opinions for years and will continue to for years.
i would love him to splash the cash but it isn't really going to happen.......is it?

Who flaming cared about US when there were plans to merge us and make us the Thames Valley Royals?? I feel sorry for clubs like Southampton or Charlton, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over them.

The sad fact is, no-one WANTS to buy us, Madejski has to realise this before he runs this club too far into the ground for us to get back up again. I'm also a tad concerned now that our much trumpeted £2 million signing sounds like he's the new Emerse Fae. We've got to spend some money and we've got to get a new striker as a TOP priority - that's if anyone wants to actually come here.

It's too early to slag Mills or compare him to Fae. He was benched until the NUFC game because of a lack of pre-season game-time. Then our central defence got defenestrated and it was clear we also needed more of Cisse's bite in central midfield, so perhaps Mills was brought in a bit earlier than planned. If so, no biggie, he had a dodgy game but the damage was negligible. Let's give him some time.

Just read the interviews Rodgers has been giving recently, he knows exactly whats wrong and he knows he doesn't have players at the club now to fix it. For that reason i'm not concerned, its only if we fail to sign anyone (i.e we put all our eggs in one basket if we miss out on Smith) that i'll be concerned. Because it could be a long half season until christmas.

We were in a shit state when Pardew took over and it took him 2 seasons to get us out of league 1. Then when Coppell arrived it took a season to steady the ship and then we shot forwards.

Too many football fans (and club directors) want immediate results - that can only be done by splashing the sort of cash Man City are spending and hands up who thinks we are ever going to do that.

I do think the problem at Reading is the wage structure. It is a free market and the likes of Doyle and Hunt can command better money that our tin pot regime will pay (note I said will pay, not afford). Its the reason all our senior players have left or will still leave - its is not to do with "I want to play at the highest possible level" so much as "I want to get the highest paid contract I possibly can..."

I am not blaming the players for this but If Reading want to challenge for the top flight, they will have to match the wages offered by our rivals. If they won't do this, the Nick Hammond should come out and say "we have a wage structure and that means some players we would like to sign will turn us down. Consequently, we as a Board are happy with mid table Championship finishes as we realise that we will not attract players of the calibre to get us propmoted again"

We've had 2 games FFS. If we are in the relegation zone at Christmas, then perhaps its time for a change of strategy.

Finally, SDR, you never make sensssse, you are in fact a Pillock of the highest order.

Sir Dodger Royal Two hundred and seventy minutes of absolute rubbish over three games. Reading are clueless and have no idea what they are doing. Frankly John Madejski is clearly to blame for Reading's failings through his lack of investment over the past two seasons.

When he talks of wanting Premiership football then you need more than just sound bites. He has raked in the cash and says Reading have no money. He seems to employ a bunch of YES people who dare not challenge his views. He has a big ego and knows nothing about football. If there is one person who needs transferring out of Reading FC it is John Madejski.

Real Facts from the main man. You know it's time to go John so **** off. ASAP. Real Advice.

Best Regards Sir Dodger Royal.
Feel free to buy John Madejski out of you feel this strongly about it.

Oh please.

You mugs fall for him hook, line and sinker when its been the same comments season after season after season. Instead of crying about him, there is an option to ignore his posts. Perhaps you should all use it if you really don't have an interest in his comments..thats what the option is for.

I would like to see where all the dosh has gone! I mean this is coming from a club, who when relegated, stated that because we didn't spend in the prem we were stable enough to resist selling our best players, now granted that worked for a season and players ambitions blah blah blah.......but now we are in the same position as last season with the parachute payment and we have an extra 12-13 mill, wage bill is near nothing compared to Sheff U / Derby etc etc why are we not making an offer to encourage clubs to sell thier players instead of trying to do things on the cheap?
