Stranded Watford look to be close to adding Mario Balotelli to their squad. Far too good for this level if his head is in the game, but if it isn't will be a liability.

That has got disaster written all over it.

Think Watford are in need of a striker though, with Deeney, Welbeck and Gray’s future all uncertain and with Murray being past it. Guess it just smacks of desperation

Big name for the championship sure, but hardly set the world alight as Brescia got relegated and you know how the saying goes - doubt he will fancy a cold Tuesday night in stoke.

Just checked-we play at Stoke on a cold Saturday in February which presumably is slightly better than a Tuesday night.

Balotelli was a player of great potential early on and played for some of the top clubs in the world, including the 2 best teams in England but it really has been a downhill journey for some time.

Watford too have Stoke away on Saturday as it happens, but it’s January so will at least be cold.

I was on Jury duty once concerning a case where the burglars were wearing balaclavas and gloves when arrested.
Part of their defence was that when they were discovered they were wearing these because it was a freezing cold February night.
It transpired that it was one of the mildest of February nights at between 10 and 12 degrees.

They were shown to be as big liars as Trump and OMA.
Guilty as charged.

Tbf unless there was adequate meteorological analysis of the wind speed/direction and the associated air mass then it very well could have warranted a balaclava and gloves.

One of the villains wore driving gloves-what 25 year old wears driving gloves?
Also being found behind some bushes (supposedly having a leak) at 2-00 in the morning while a burglar alarm from the property was ringing was not in itself incriminating but added to the evidence..

I'm  at Reading he scores 2 in the Euro final. Completely forgot about that. Is he one of the biggest wasted talents ever? Just behind Saido Berahino for me.

Old Man Andrews You're talking about a Premier League game and neither side are our rivals.

Good point, well made.

I thought you said Leeds were our rivals a few days ago?

Pretty sure if he signs for Watford it'll be because his head isn't in the game.

Like they need more strikers with Gray, Murray, Deeney and co.

Didn't you say Leeds were our rivals the other day? Why are you calling me a flid when I said Villa are, seeing as they have Tyrone Mings who has recent bad blood with us?

Be amazed if this happens but if it does it strikes me as a club ‘trying’ to appear attractive and grabbing some headlines by signing some random big name despite whether he is needed and what the downsides are.

Undoubtedly a talent but I’m not sure it’s really what Watford should be looking at!

* having said that he will probably now be pivotal to them going back up

Sounds akin to us signing Drenthe tbf

Watford didn’t get Balotelli anyway. They were too busy getting rid of Gerard Deulofeu, Ignacio Pussetto and Jerome Sinclair instead.
