windermereROYAL Truly surprised how many people over on you know where are losing their shit because our kids couldn`t beat MKs kids convincingly.

The whole MO over there is say something "controversial" early, stick to that line - in this case - Hunt is shit and must be sacked immediately - keep hold of that line consistently irrespective of what may or may not actually happen, so that you can revel in being right, first.

So of course when the reserves/youth essentially fail to win 17-0 and look like a team that have barely played together, which they are - it proves beyond doubt how right they are.

It's dull, which is why only about 10 people actively post on the hashtag.

Notwithstanding whatever is said on Twitter the team starting the game on Tuesday was hardly a reserves/ youth team.
Nearly all have played first team football and it was only very late on that a few novices came on so our line-up was , unlike the opposition, a long way from being an experimental youth team.

Because of that we might have expected a bit more.
The big problem is that we have a squad of 20 odd players who are much of a muchness with so few standout performers even for 3rd division football.

From Despair To Where? Shit, I didn't realise we played last night until I noticed this thread had got to 4 pages.

Up for the cup, I guess.
pLOLastic ( )

(Happy to agree with Clyde here) Write this cup off as a non-entity by all means, but nearly 9k at Cardiff didn’t last night.

Didn’t Sunderland face Portsmouth in its similar final at a packed-out Wembley a few years back?

In my defence, I was working on Tuesday night and the 7pm kickoff has thrown me for all 3 group games. IMO, it's too early for a midweek evening kick off

I much prefer the earlier time as with 8-00 starts I often have to deal with diversions off the M3 on the way home leading to a homecoming some time well after midnight.
Each to their own for preferences.

Isn't done to try and persuade families to come along who perhaps wouldn't even consider a kick off 45 mins to an hour later? Still ends up being a later night for a kid but potentially appealing given the game will be done by 9pm latest.
