After the Window Closes

by Snowball » 05 Jan 2011 09:59

Just looked at the next six games after this block, Jeez!

A Cardiff City (2nd)
H QPR (TOP)
A Norwich City (3rd)
H Watford (6th)
H Millwall (9th) (second best away defence in the league)
A Crystal Palace

It looks really, really tough, and we could be below half-way if things go badly, but if we are still within 2-3 points of the play-offs after this lot, we must have a great chance

We'll easily beat them all. Stop worrying.

Or not.

May not be in a too bouyant mood for my annual trip round the corner to Selhurst by the looks of things!!

We need to try and win the three home games or WWD and then win at Palace. Points at Cardiff and Norwich would then be a bonus.

That's just the fuzziness of the English language.

Of course. That's just the fuzziness of the English Language.

I meant:

"Given our strong home record, it is imperative that we gain at least 7 points from the possible 9 available in those home games,
preferably all 9 points, to compensate for the quite likely dropped points in two very tough away games..."

So much fuzziness of the English language that you need to state it twice

If we get Leigertwood on a permanent, and a striker, I can see at least 13 points from that lot.

Well if we do, we'll make the play-offs comfortably

Anything we get against Cardiff, Norwich and QPR will be a bonus.

The games before and after are very winnable though.

Palace and Millwall we should be winning against, especially as Morison looks set to go.

But games against Cardiff, Norwich and Watford are the ones that really count as they are in similar positions to us.

Of all the teams Millwall's current position is more similar to ours than anybody else.
