Griffin unnecessarily left Sinclair for the second goal too, he was terrible today...

However, both Griff and Harte have been steady performers and I think are good enough for 90% of championship wingers. Ok, so now and again McD will have to think tactically about bringing in Cummings and a new DL for certain matches against 'special' players, but for another season I'd be very happy to have these two great pro's as the clubs full-backs.

Griifin did not have his best game for Reading today but to single him out, no.

The back four were awful in the 1st half, Swansea's passing an movement created continuos problems.

The half time talk sorted it out, we then made a game of it in the 2nd Half.... It could have been one of the best comebacks ever bar for the post.

My only problem with Griffin today was the pen. That killed the game, for a nothing challenge when the ball was going out. He is supposed to have all these years of experience and to do what he did was unprofessional and unforgivable.

I also thought zurab on the third goal was similar. Surely he is old enough and wise enough to know that "if in doubt kick it out".

I thought the experience in our team might make the difference yesterday - it did but for all the wrong reasons.

And despite all the wrist slitting guff that you've plastered all over this board, and also apart from having them released, I would agree with you here.

Brian, thank God, doesn't suffer from a fraction of the blind spots that eventually afflicted Steve Coppell but he certainly has problems regarding Griffin, Harte, Cummings, Church and Manset.

Harte's goals were a major contribution in getting us to Wembley but his lack of pace also made him a liability at left back throughout the season, even though this was completely lost on many including Snowball and his stats. He arrived as a centre half and I've yet to see him play there for us. He rarely misses anything in the air and I suspect he would be as good alongside Mills as anyone else we have whilst still chipping in with those lethal free kicks.

I suspect, too, that Cummings (for his extra pace if nothing else) is now a better full back than Harte or Griffin yet Brian keeps dropping him at the first opportunity but THEN needlessly wastes a birth by putting him on yesterday's bench rather than opting for the more versatile Gunnarsson..............................which brings me to the one thing that REALLY annoyed me yesterday.

This is Simon Church who write now can't hit a barn door with a banjo. We were told for weeks that Manset wasn't fit enough to start despite getting goals from decent cameos off the bench yet when he starts he lasts most of the game

Harte should be finished as a full back and unless Cummings starts next season we don't deserve to keep him.

Where was Sinclair when he scored the second - at the back post. And who was the right back who should haver been marking him there - Griffin. So how can you say the only problem with Griffin was the penalty?
