The Next Next Six Games

by Snowball » 04 Nov 2015 20:44

A Cardiff 0-2 WIN
H Bolton 3-0 WIN
A Forest 0-2 WIN
H QPR 2-0 WIN
A Preston 0-1 WIN
A Hull 1-0 LOSS

I really fancy the middle four games, and have a strong feeling we'll get a win at Cardiff

Frankly no idea about the Hull game, but, clearly it'll be tough.

If we were to go there on the back of five wins we might just make it six.

A Cardiff 1-3 L
H Bolton 2-0 W
A Forest 1-0 W
H QPR 0-0 D
A Preston 1-1 D
A Hull 0-1 L

8 points as we slip away from the play offs.

That would equate to a 138-point season.

Will we get a better time to play Cardiff?

They have a few injuries.

They lost to in-disarray Leeds midweek, their board is full of calls for Slade to
be sacked and most think he'll be gone by Xmas

(some have even suggested they should go for Nigel Adkins)

They have W1 D4 L1 in their last 6

1-1 Brighton A
0-0 Preston A
0-0 Bristol City H
1-0 Middlesboro H
0-0 Ipswich A
0-1 Leeds A

Just 2 goals in six, conceding 2.

They have W2 D4 L3 in their last 9

Prior to this recent six they lost to Hull and Rotherham and beat Charlton 2-1

That would do me.

But we have a real opportunity this next six. Cardiff don't look special, the next four look fairly weak,
and my point is, if we can go to Hull WWWWW or DWWWW we could then get something.

OTOH lose stupidly at Cardiff, drop points in the easy 4, lose at Hull, and plan for next season in Tier 2

Snowball A Cardiff 0-2 WIN
H Bolton 3-0 WIN
A Forest 0-2 WIN
H QPR 2-0 WIN
A Preston 0-1 WIN
A Hull 1-0 LOSS

LOL at 5 straight wins!!

From that lot we'll do well to take 10 points.

I can make a legitimate case for us not winning any of them.

Reading fc, injuries to 4 key players.
Struggled to a home draw to a Huddersfield side in disarray.
Cardiff playing pretty defensively, which we have shown we struggle to break down this season.
Has 0-0 written all over it.

I can see a pattern emerging based on the last two games

A Cardiff 1-1 DRAW
H Bolton 2-2 DRAW
A Forest 1-1 DRAW
H QPR 2-2 DRAW
A Preston 1-1 DRAW
A Hull 2-2 DRAW

Bolton, Forest, QPR and Preston are more than winnable. Cardiff I think we'll draw and lose to Hull. So I think 13 points are achievable.

QPR will also have the new manager effect so it could really go either way, I'd fancy our chances more at home though.

Yeah but it's Colin, so it's not really a new manager, and it's Colin.

I said those points were achievable, not that we were nailed-on certs.

I know that, but im just saying that based on our recent form I would say any of the next 6 are just as losable as they are likely to result in a win for us.

That's applicable to the whole of the Championship, as the cliche goes, anyone can beat anyone :!:
