I bought mine when the stadium first opened...right next to the red seats, great view, all set for those European nights...the glory days are just delayed!

Biskitman The point is, what's happened to all the Premiership money? We KNOW it hasn't gone on transfer fees. And while we don't know the hard facts about the wage structure, we do know enough to say that it hasn't gone on hugely inflated wages for the players.

On that basis, it's simply unfair to expect supporters to pay any more than when we were last in the Championship, plus a modest increase to cover inflation since then.

Unless JM and his fellow directors can make a convincing case - and that would have to include complete transparency about income and expenditure over the last couple of years - no other approach to ticket pricing can be justified!

Your argument is a good one however when players contracts were negotiated in the Championship, there were inevitable clauses awarding hefty wage increases on promotion to the Premiership (the wage bill went up 3 fold on promotion, and is now 4 fold given the contract renewals and new signings since 2006). Of course, there is no reciprocal motion, so we now have a squad of players on Premiership wages in the Championship. Most of the high earners will move on (although I personally would love to see Doyle stay, and on recent form Lita as well :o ). These players will be replaced by cheaper alternatives, if at all, and more than likely the alternatives will not be anywhere near as good.

But we'd got 40 points by then.

I know the club are looking to announce this as soon as possible - it's definitely costing them money not to have STs announced and on-sale.

Seems a long time to wait. The earlier they get it out the sooner they can start selling them.

QPR have just announced theirs - around a 50% increase  Maybe that's the price of having Dowie in charge ;) They are now priced higher than ours.

My QPR supporting colleague is absolutely incensed at the way they have bumped up their season ticket prices and so am I!!

As I told him, their example is just the excuse RFC need to justify not reducing ours or even putting them up!!

QPR may regret their pricing policy though. Apparently they only sold out about one home game last season. Their season ticket holders have worked out that they only save @ 44p a game through having a season ticket and therefore many are likely to opt for a pay per game basis.

Added to this they also have the 'Dowie Effect'! On hearing of his appointment one sent a text saying 'That's it, I'm never going back their (he was poorly educated! ) again'.

Funniest thing was that on Monday my colleague was gently teasing me about Coppell's likely departure with the words of 'Still, at least Dowie is available for you!'

As has been mentioned many times before, and again it's only my opinion, i feel that the club will price freeze again. Club justification of extra games next season. Will STH take up be as high again, probably not. This year i will again renew, burn my bank balance, hopefully get my daughter her home season ticket. Again apply for both away ST and drill myself into the ground financially each month. Part of my recreational lifestyle and in my blood.
I will hopefully then have the option to move from upper north so my daughter is sat next to me.

Just got a text from Fulham to say their adult season tickets start from £299 next season. The texts are a legacy of buying in their neutral end.....and I was just starting to get over the relegation!

if we get to europe you may find on european nights you get moved from your great seat to accodmodate uefa people

one of the snags of european fotball is that uefa have first dibs on some of the best seats in the stadium! Some season ticket holders would get moved. you season ticket only guarantees your seat for domestic league games
