Buying Tickets On Match day?

Hi all

I'm a Liverpool supporter currently working in Reading for the next 3 months. We travel around quite a bit and always like to go and watch and support the local teams wherever we happen to be working as we're not just Liverpool fans (and one Everton ) were fans of the game.

Any information on getting tickets on the day (officially obviously) would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, we have long since joined the "generic" football $ky club thing.

Very little, and in-fact no pay at the gate stuff anymore.

You can possibly pay a visit to the ground on the days before your targeted game and purchase paper tix.....

You save £2 per ticket and just get it sorted in advance

It's perfectly possible to buy a ticket on the day.
Just go to either of the ticket offices at the ground before the game and they will sell you tickets. You cannot pay on the gate, as they are automated.
It is cheaper to buy in advance although you'll need to check the website to confirm what the cutoff is. May be midnight the day before the game.
getting a member card is a sensible idea if you think you'll make a habit of going. Makes buying online dead easy as the ticket gets loaded directly to your card.

Thanks for the replies. Might go with the fan card option. Seems like a good deal. How much are we talking for a home game then? Has to be better than the £50 they charge at Annfield now. I've been to see other teams play more in the last 5 years for that reason

I think it's around £25 for a home ticket. In terms of seating:

East stand is the preferred area if you like atmosphere (I use that word lightly.

Cut off is midday for home games, but it only applies to members I think.

The good news is that you will almost certainly never have a problem getting a ticket, hardly ever sell out.
