BonBoh We are now a Gibraltar based company/club
If we're based on the Rock that suggests Con Air won't get a look in.

Yeah LOLz - I've seen an interview somewhere where he says he'll speak to McD before the game - why would you do that if you didn't want some input from him?

Reading's promotion under the new ownership of Anton Zingarevich has meant that this season a majority, 11 of the 20 Premier League clubs, are owned by overseas individuals, with several, such as "the Royals", now held ultimately in tax havens.

I'd say that leaves us where it leaves them... playing in England.

maffff More importantly, could we win the league of Gibraltar? Would that let us into Europe?

The second part - definitely not, as Gibralter are not a member of UEFA, nor Fifa, and are unlikely to become one due to Spain's opposition of such a move.

As for the former part - not with the current squad :D

So where is the transparency?
There are now more than half of the Premier League clubs registered in offshore tax havens (with all sorts of secrecy and a massive lack of fiscal transparency). This leaves club owners in a position to be able to fill their pockets with the fans' hard-earned cash and siphon off massive TV funds. How can HMRC, the FA and UEFA regulate that? So much for financial fair play rulings...

Except we are not talking about the football club limited company are we, it's just the commercial vehicle that own that company.

The former is still registered and audited in the UK.

From the perspective of UK taxes on the football club business, this makes absolutely no difference.
But for taking money out of the club, securing big loans against its shares, and just general opaqueness, it makes a massive difference.

Royal Lady Zac's having a bit of a 'mare. Didn't think ED ever said he'd spoken to McD about the team and now doesn't think we're registered in Gibraltar. Even I knew that! :D

tbf he never said he'd spoken about the team did he?.
just that they spoke every day
