Goodbye Cesc

by floyd__streete » 19 Jul 2011 13:50

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14199784.stm

C'mon Barca, snap up this insufferable man - the most overrated player in the Premier League, the man who seemingly invented the concept of passing the football as if no player had ever successfully managed this before - and end the tedium of speculation over his future and the man himself pimping himself to Barca every single summer. He will be best remember for invading the pitch at the end of a game in which he was not even playing to sneeringly confront the players of Wigan (or was it Hull, anyway Arsenal - the flack-track bullies that they are - had recorded their usual handsome win against non-entities). Good fcuking riddance.

The first ever spoonerism-typo, that's what it is

Tbf, I was probably thinking of Caroline Flack at the time. And people say she's just a great big pair of tits. In this - and in many other - respects, Cesc is half the woman Caroline is.

Juat to piss Barca off i would not sell him and then not play him - that'll learn him for being disloyal.

The guy has a naffed up ham string, they should let him go. He'll be injury prone for the rest of his career.

Disloyal? He's only had one club and been there for however long and wants to leave, go home and play for the best team in the world? More fool him...

Agree though that he is over-rated, but when you compare his supposed £40m valuation to the likes of Carroll he actually seems under-valued.

Anyways, his heart's not at Arsenal and they've got a great kid in Wilshire. Sell the whiney Spaniard and invest in some strikers!!

Then he shouldn't have signed the long contract extension at Arsenal if he's not going to honour it.........

The Fab saga every summer gets a bit tiring. Reckon they should let him go, they have enough cover anyway. I dont think he was that great last season, the bits when he wasnt injured anyway!

One of the best midfielders to play in English football IMHO over the past 10 years.
I agree with Floyd that the whole transfer saga is incredibly boring.
Even though he has looked good in our football I can't see why Barcelona really want him with Xavi,Iniesta and Busquets already in situ and Tiago waiting in the wings.

One other point-Wilshere has had the Joe Cole treatment of being bigged up way beyond what he has already achieved_ I'm not sure that he really is that good especially as he seldom scores goals.
To be the complete all-rounder as a midfielder like Gerrard you do need to score as well as create.

If you ever get the chance to see him play live, then do so.....he is so strong on the ball, his vision is superb and he can pick out a pass as good as anyone in the Premier League

Agreed that his shooting needs working on but i dont feel that is what he is in a side for, especially Arsenal and England where you have the likes of Van Persie, Walcott, Rooney etc doing that part.

Funny enough, the Arseholes poached him off Barcelona in the first place.
