Would have said it's a decision for the local leagues/FAs to make and, like so many things, big "government" trying to stick their oar in is not something that should be welcomed.

Juventus 4-3 Inter

Some great goals. Not least the injury time winner.

Should definitely be dropped by England. We'll do better without him.

I'm interested how far up the all-time goalscorers list Kane can climb. Still only 32. He is on 465 career goals, including his 74 for England. Only 26 players are officially credited with 500 career goals - Kane will no doubt become the 27th. To reach top 20 all time, and nudge above Di Stefano, he needs 537 goals. 626 for top 10, that looks out of reach.

Fwiw of those 26, five players are 'live' - Ronaldo (1st, 943), Messi (2nd, 880), Lewandowski (7th, 677), Suarez (12th, 597) and Benzema (26th, 501).

Lewandowski got 42 in 52 games last season as a 36 year old in La Liga - has to be Kane's 'model'.

Ninth Bundesliga hat trick for Harry Kane, who has 13 goals and 3 assists in 7 games this season. Another reminder that some want him dropped by England.

Fenerbahce have only won 3 of their first 6 games so far, while Galatasaray have won 5 out of 5, conceding just 1 goal, and they play Konyaspor tonight where a win would see them go 6 points clear

exciting times for Deportivo who were only back up in the 2nd tier last season for the first time in a few years, and now sit top of Segunda after 6 games

Zaragoza doing classic Zaragoza things and are winless in the relegation zone

Sampdoria start the season in Serie B with 4 losses and are bottom. Liam Henderson joined them this summer.

And Osimhen has been injured.

Gala once again imitating Liverpool as they did last season although they were shaken a bit by their loss at Frankfurt in the CL , even if Frankfurt scored 5 goals from their 6 on target.

Marseille 1-0 PSG

Biggest fixture in Ligue 1. Was rescheduled to Monday night due to the Balon d'Or awards involving PSG players.

Goztepe have had a long road back to the top. Club is one of the oldest in Turkey, suffered financial collapse in the early 2000s and dropped to regional leagues. No fairytale, the club has had a load of investment and are owned by Sport Republic, who are also the primary investors behind Southampton. Sport Republic currently the only non-Turkish investor in a Superlig club.

Julian Alvarez hat-trick last night, with 2 of them in the last 10 minutes, getting Atletico Madrid's wonky season a bit more back on track

Harry Kane gets his 100th goal in his 104th game

The fastest anyone has ever got to 100 goals in any of Europe's top 5 leagues

Copa Libertadores semi finals:

Flamengo (Brazil) Vs Racing Club (Arg)
LDU Quito (Ecuador) Vs Palmeiras (Brazil)

Last 5 seasons in a row have been all Brazilian affairs. Would be nice for one of the others to get through

Winston Biscuit Atletico Madrid 5-2 Real Madrid
https://youtu.be/3h2JR_7Dmjg?si=NOtll5YOTM23Jq0e

Atleti v Eintracht could be an absolute goal fest tonight.

Eintracht's 6-4 win at Monchengladbach means there have been 30 goals in their 5 league games this season, they have scored 17 and conceded 13 - all 4 goals conceded at the weekend did come after being 6-0 up after 47 minutes - and the 4th was in the 99th minute - so definitely a case of a team putting the brakes on when they probably could have gone on to score 8 or 9.

Will be 0-0 now.
