Bojan Krkic transferred to Roma from Barcelona last summer for €13M. There was a clause to say that if they want him beyond the first season they have to pay a further €28M for him but if they don't wan't him Barcelona will have to buy him back for €17M

Neither club seems to want him now.

most stupid contract ever

Newcastle rumoured to be interested

If that's a straight swap then Fulham are being done

But his corners are worth £10m alone

The quality of Fulham's side is reducing by the day. I think they're a cracking outside bet for relegation this season, along with Norwich.

Good deal or not? Probably as good as they can afford/expect, but with cash as well I would imagine.

The rumoured deal was Adam + £8m or so, iirc.

All in all, if the rumours are all true, in the region of £20m + Adam for Walcott and Dempsey would be a good bit of business. Liverpool with wingers, whatever next.

Friday's Legacy Joey Barton is training with Fleetwood Town. Possible loan move on the cards.

That's the immediate reaction from the media but it wont happen. Hughes doesn't want him at the club, so I expect they'll put up with him until Jan and then sell.

I thought the idea of loaning Barton out was a bit daft but it seems that if they do so his 12 matches will be up a lot quicker

I agree it's unlikely, but...

Fleetwood back? Barton hints at loan move that could 'shorten' ban.

paultheroyal To think he would even contemplate a loan move to a league 2 club is quite ridiculous.

"The possibility of a loan move has been mentioned, where there's been interest from several European clubs and a lot of Championship clubs too, as you may expect.

"So, why would I train with Fleetwood? I have become a little disenchanted with the game in the last six months after what I have put myself through and I desperately want to fall back in love with the game.

"I feel that training in the lower leagues will give me a reality check and maybe help me become a better person, a little more humility will serve me well."

Pardew referencing Reading regarding Andy Carroll – “John Madejski used to say to me, with some players you just have to wipe your nose and move on. And I thnk Liverpool have to do that.”

Liverpool reportedly have a bid for Joe Allen of £10m + a loan of Jonjo Shelvey rejected by Swansea, although he apparently has a £15m release clause in his contract, so that one seems only a matter of time.
