TheMaraudingDog Boris Johnson was right, Liverpool really is self pity city.
Scousers are the only people that could campaign for a man proven guilty of murder while at the same time turning up at the funeral to weep and wallow.
No Fixed Abode Not only is it the club that have shown themselves up but the majority of supporters too.
If you mention the Suarez racism g8. Then they come back with "What about John Terry?"
If you mention Heysel - then they go quiet, or it was the stadiums fault.
If you mention Michael Shields - well he was always innocent, just because he's a Liverpool fan.
If you mention thousands of their fans who travelled to Hillsbrough without tickets were partly to blame for the Hillsbrough disaster - then you're bang out of order to even suggest that.
If you mention all of the above in the same sentence, then they will only focus on the Hillsbrough comment and re-iterate how out of order you are.
Always innocent, always deflecting the blame or ignoring the truth - Liverpool FC & their fans.

Just thought I'd quote this so VM can have another read.

FiNeRaIn Liverpool come out of this looking absolutely shameful. Completely selfish, arrogant, selt-pitying, petulant, obnoxious and downright cretinous comments and actions throughout this whole affair and this view is shared by 99% of neutrals. Of course, predictably, liverpool fans who have acted like Iranians or north koreans with someone trying to attack their brain washed great empires are the only one's defending it.
I've been irked a lot by liverpool in recent years, their constant crusade to blame people for Hillsbrough is pretty sickening. None of the police who may have been incompetent would have guessed in their wildest dreams that the excess in fans would ever result in a disaster like that. Had the excess of liverpool fans not turned up and started forcing their way in, it would never have happend...they have to take some blame. You can't plead " its entirely the polices job" to manage their safety. Where is the common sense of mature humans pushing and illegally forcing their way into a packed ground? Sorry but the fans knew the ground was full and didn't couldn't care less they were jumping in without tickets. The police did a bad job in managing a heard of liverpool fans behaving with no regard for anyone's safety and yet liverpool fans want to have people arrested, charged and publicly demonised because of it. Where is the justice for the fans in heysol? They are MASSIVELY quiet when it comes to this shockingly - why aren't they campaigning to bring the fans to justice who tried charging through the gates which ended up killing innocent fans? If you think I have these views because I have some sort of affiliation with Man Utd you are wrong, I dislike them also, massively. I don't like any of the top four and quite honestly the way all the big clubs in Britain have behaved in the last few years ( rangers included) has been utterly pathetic and embarrassing.

who are ya? Just out of interest, how often do you travel up to Anfield

FiNeRaIn Call it whatever you want there is many out there who share the same views...justifiably. You're a liverpool apologist..their players could run down the street with ak47's mowing everyone down and you'd probably wear a t-shirt supporting their antics the following week claiming they were brain washed by the FA.

Quite possibly one of the most ridiculous things you've written.
You weren't involved in the lawrence case...therefore you are not allowed an opinion on it. You weren't involved in 9/11 therefore no opinion allowed, etc

Hillsbrough is pretty black and white....fans forced their way into the ground/some were let in without tickets...massive catastrophy in which people died. People to blame? Both the police/security and selfish fans who charged in without tickets.

OMG! You're not allowed to say this. You will be accused of being out of order.
Liverpool fans are still mongdivs in this day and age - but you don't hear much about it - probably because people are worried about upsetting the self pitying club. Mugging their own fans at the CL final - trying to storm the turnstiles (you would have thought they would know better after Hillsbrough). Then the incidents at Old Trafford in an FA Cup semi final where they caused tens of thousands of £s worth of damage to the concourses and toilets....But it's all ok - It's Liverpool FC - they have history.
